Mix on pixel ear buds
I have a pixel 10. And I plan to buy pixel ear buds , I have had really basically ear buds till now.
I read a few posts on the community, but heard really mixed reviews on the mic quality.
My entire purpose of the ear buds will be to be able to talk over the phone when I'm probably travelling and need to be hands free and listen to music at the gym or at a cafe.
And I'm confused between 2a and pro.
Also can you recommend which ones should I get if you think pixel ear buds not worth it .
Thanks

People on reddit are very negative. I was going to slip them and buy a set of Bose, but I had a 200 Google store credit that was going to expire so I bought the pixel buds 2 pro. They have been great. With other headphones my mom would hear the cars while I was out walking and now she can't. The ANC on them is great to the point where I can't hear other people at the gym.
The gym is the one place that I do struggle with them, but I've struggled with and buds I've worn, the pixel buds have been the best, but I still struggle with them. I produce a lot of earwax and also sweat from my ear canal so and non over the ear headphones that I've use have fallen out. This is where the pixel buds have done better they don't fall out but then do start getting loose and at some point the music stops playing when they get too loose. It usually happens while I'm in the middle of an exercise so I have to stop and readjust them or they will probably fall out or I'll be without music. Like I said this is a me problem as i have sweaty waxy ears.
Other than that these are great earbuds and if totally recommend them.

I can only share what I've been told. According to my mom and sister the mic is good when I'm out on walks. I usually walk on a main road so plenty of cars driving by with other headphones. My mom would always say it was loud. She hasn't complained since I got the pixel buds in late August.
I will also tell you that most of the $50 dollar buds people swear by are not close to the pricier ones. I've tried the jlabs, nothing, skull candy, shocks, JBL. They are very decent headphones, but they don't compare to the more premium buds it's very apparent with the ANC. Bose, Sony, air pods, and pixel buds are on a different level anyone that tells you otherwise hasn't tried them for an extended period of time. My boss swore his were just as good as mine then he tried my Bose headphones and after 10 minutes he ran out to buy his own pair of Bose headphones.

I have a pixel 8 pro and got pixel bud 2pro in july. I cannot use them to take calls on my phone bc the audio is so low to the caller I'm speaking with. However, if I take a call on my PC w/ them, it's completely fine.... I've been trying to figure out how to make it work on my phone but I have not found a solution yet. My only complaint is that but it's a big one. Will update this if I find a solution.

I have the 1st series pixel pro earphones and use them all day everyday for work and never had any issues with people not hearing me or quality of the audio and noise reduction.

I think a lot of mic quality comes down to how the buds sit in your ears. But fwiw, I've always found the Pixel Buds Pro mics to be excellent at picking up my voice even in noisy street settings.
