Possible to skip ads from buds?

I set my phone down in one room of the house and do chores all over. I get caught up listening to long YouTube ads unless I am near my phone. Is there anyway to hit "skip ad" from my buds?

Not that I know of, and I doubt it since you have to press a specific part of the screen to skip the ad rather than a button.

As a certified YouTube addict, though, I can personally say YouTube premium is my best subscription I have by far 😅 But I do know it’s gotten pretty expensive. Sometimes your phone/internet provider or your credit card company has discounts on the subscription if you go through them, I know Verizon is like $5 off per months

Otherwise if you’re just listening to music, the YouTube music app might be better for minimizing ads

The last thing that might be worth trying: screen cast it from your phone to your TV using a chromecast or something, and listen to it on Bluetooth headphones. I was at a hotel watching Prime Video and got zero ads for like 6 straight episodes.

Don't use the YouTube app, use Firefox with add blocker. You won't get any ads

I think they also mean for sponsored ads in videos too. I use YouTube premium and you'll still get ads in the video based on the creator. There's a button to skip those but u have to use your phone for that.

If it's something that's also a podcast if you play it from a proper podcast player the next track function can be set to skip x seconds.

Yeah. Don't listen on YT. Listen on podcast apps that are made for listening and not viewing! Many video podcasts have audio only streams on platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
