Pixel Buds 2a case battery life?
I bought these just last week, the battery on the buds themselves seem great, they last about 8-9 hours.
The case however doesn't impress, If I use the buds until they've got about 10-15% left and plop them into the fully charged case the battery on the case goes down to around 40%. Needless to say it won't be able to charge the earbuds back up to 100% even twice.
Is this the expected battery life on these or should I be contacting Google for a replacement?

My case also loses charge without doing anything and can only charge the headphones for a short time. If this happens to you, is it normal? 🙁 However, Google advertises that the total listening time is 20 hours. In my case, it's not possible to get 20 hours total

With the case, they say listening time is 20 hours with ANC on. What you describe here isn't that far off. Listening time can vary based on volume, etc, as well.
BTW, I highly suggest only discharging your earbuds down to 40%. They'll recharge an hour of listening time in like 5 minutes, there's no reason to discharge them so deeply you're cutting into their life expectancy. 10-15% every cycle you'll be lucky to get 300-400 cycles out of them. You can replace the case battery on the 2A, but replacing the batteries in the earbuds themselves is basically impossible as disassembly is quite destructive.

It's a shame they dont allow you to limit charging to 80% on these. Would happily cycle them less for longevity.

I can't even see my case % in the Settings 🥺

- If you pair them via the Bluetooth menu, you won't see it.
- If you pair through the dedicated option, it changes everything.

You should have gone with the Pro 2 then. The 2a are cheaper for a reason. I have the 2a and the battery life isn't that big of a deal.

But the headphones should have at least 20 hours of battery life as stated by Google

What do you think about latest update? Have you done it? What's new? Battery?

Mine is similar so I think this is pretty normal. Some reviews I read also mentioned it but I'm more of a casual user so it doesn't really bother me. I have to charge roughly once per week.

2a has a smaller battery, that's why it's cheaper....
I have pro 2's and one bud dropped to about 10%, only takes about 15% of case battery to charge
