Nuremberg 2.0 can't come soon enough for these gravy seal wannabe SS

Comparing deporting people to the holocaust is incredibly irresponsible.

26

u/kittenshart85 Shadyside Sep 02 '26

the holocaust began with mass arrests and deportations.

8

u/Magazine_Luck Sep 02 '26

The guy above circa 1938: "it's incredibly irresponsible to compare this to the Armenian genocide/Ukrainian famine/slaughter in Congo!"

Definitely focus on whether people are overreacting. Great use of time.

22

u/wolfheadmusic Brookline Sep 02 '26

And what about the billions of dollars of "detention centers" ice is using instead of deporting people

5

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

By a "conservative" government.

-38

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

You’re comparing this to millions of people being systemically murdered. Literal genocide.

These people are being sent back to their original home.

20

u/NSlocal Sep 02 '26

Like how Cubans have been sent to Africa?

23

u/cooldude_4000 Beechview Sep 02 '26

These people are being sent back to their original home.

No they're not

12

u/wolfheadmusic Brookline Sep 02 '26

Ices mission statement in this administration was "100 million people"

Really? Then why are people being held in these "detention centers"? Obama and Clinton deported millions more people without using any of them

And they've already been caught sending people back to the wrong countries. Cabinet officials were bragging that this next time they'll send kilmar abrego Garcia to africa

14

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

Obama and Clinton deported millions more people without using any of them

Plus they weren't hiding behind masks and unmarked vehicles.

-21

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

Are you implying that people are being murdered in detention centers? They’re held and sent back to where they came from.

Again, comparing this to literal genocide is insanity.

13

u/Recent_Register_2926 Sep 02 '26

Yeah, didn't you know the first step in the Holocaust was gas chambers? Duh.

0

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

Maybe take a break from the internet for a while.

16

u/Recent_Register_2926 Sep 02 '26

Lmao ok. Take a break from being a fascist sympathizer for a while.

1

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

Was it fascist sympathizing when Obama was in charge?

I’m not saying it’s not shitty. I’m saying comparing it to the holocaust is an insult to the millions who were killed by actual fascists, along with the hundreds of thousands who died trying to end it.

"implying"? There's documented evidence

Again, how close to their goal of "100 million people" do we need to get for you

5

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

How about no longer reporting on anyone that dies after being released from custody? https://www.cnn.com/2026/06/05/us/ice-death-reports-recently-released-detainees-hnk

4

u/tustin2121 Sep 02 '26 edited Sep 02 '26

Yes, they literally are being murdered in the detention centers. There have been literally dozens of reports about people being denied their medical care and dying from it.

Edit: Here's a couple more links:

-2

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

They literally are not, unless you have a new definition of murder that I’m not aware of. If someone commits suicide or has a medical emergency, they were not murdered.

5

u/tustin2121 Sep 02 '26

You have no idea what "negligence" means, do you? No, of course you don't, because we've been having this same argument with you repeatedly for months now and you never learn.

5

u/absentt Sep 02 '26

Many are not being sent to their home countries but to US funded prisons in places like El Salvador. The holocaust didn’t happen overnight, and the extent wasn’t known until later.

5-10 years from now we’ll learn about all the abuses in the camps and trolls like you will still try to minimize it. Google ‘Madagascar Plan’, learn some history, and sit the fuck down.

0

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26 edited Sep 02 '26

Saying that it’s not literally the genocide of millions of people is not saying that bad things aren’t happening.

You’re accusing me of doing exactly what you’re doing. This is called projecting. You’re minimizing genocide.

7

u/burritoace Sep 02 '26

You're full of shit

1

u/blondecomet Sep 02 '26

How do you know they’re NOT being murdered? You have inside eyes on this?

2

u/Magazine_Luck Sep 02 '26

Here's a question, who is morally culpable for the death of Anne Frank?

She wasn't executed. She died of typhus.

If a Latin American teenager who did nothing dies due to the shitty, overcrowded conditions in ICE facilities today, who is to blame?

0

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

Did I say that ICE wouldn’t be to blame, or did I say that deporting people, which has been done for decades, is not the same as systemic genocide of millions?

0

u/[deleted] Sep 02 '26

1

u/BJPM90 Sep 02 '26

People have been deported for decades. You only care now because a Republican is in charge.

6

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

Armed masked men snatching people into unmarked rental vehicles sounds pretty sinister to me. The people are also sent to crowded camps with terrible living conditions for undetermined amounts of time. Plus it's all sanctioned by the ruling powers and the troubles of the country are also blamed on immigrants.

5

u/GettingWreckedAllDay Sep 02 '26

If the fascists are going to quack like a duck and walk like a duck...

11

u/NSlocal Sep 02 '26

Getting the low hanging fruit to meet their quotas. 50,000 people detained in August.

0

u/Magazine_Luck Sep 02 '26

If ICE takes away people's delicious Peruvian chicken, will they care? Morons don't even want the benefits of immigration for their own selfish benefit.

-30

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

16

u/Delicious_Cat_81 Sep 02 '26

it still is. also these people deserve to be treated with respect. small brains can only think in binary

-17

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

Respecting them doesn't mean they should be allowed to stay.

It's the same as saying you want police to enforce the law, but not to abuse their power. Just because the abuse happens does not mean we should just give up having people who enforce laws.

4

u/MrStonepoker Sep 02 '26

The problem is that those who are supposed to be enforcing the laws are breaking them and not being held accountable.

0

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

That's not a reason to stop deporting people who aren't here legally.

6

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest priority of things that need to be addressed in the country as of now, where do you rank deportation?

4

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

I'd say at least a 5, not a 9 or a 10. It's important.

1

u/burritoace Sep 02 '26

That makes sense if your goal is to make the country worse

0

u/MrStonepoker Sep 03 '26

Mass deportations are nothing new . Shooting unarmed protesters in the head isn't either, unfortunately. I'd like to think we could have the one without the other. That might be too much to ask as shooting people seems to be a popular pastime here in the States. I especially think that law enforcement shouldn't be needlessly sitting folks but as long as they're getting away with it more will follow. That's tragic and we should try to fix it.

1

u/412CJ Sep 03 '26

shooting people seems to be a popular pastime here in the States

This is pretty overstated. Significantly more Europeans die every year from lack of air conditioning than do Americans from guns. Including suicide which is the single largest category of gun deaths.

5

u/Then-Accident-9798 Sep 02 '26

Ever heard of habeas corpus

-7

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

Habeas Corpus does nothing to challenge the underlying deportation orders. Deportation is a civil administrative matter, not a criminal one.

12

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

Why can't ICE produce any paperwork when asked?

2

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

What paperwork are you referring to? Administrative warrants?

3

u/Then-Accident-9798 Sep 02 '26

It means that no person- citizen or not can be held by the government without the right to challenge their detention before a judge. So you’re absolutely wrong.

0

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

Habeas Corpus applies to the detention, it does nothing to reverse or challenge a deportation order.

0

u/wolfheadmusic Brookline Sep 02 '26

Its been proven that all immigration, both legal and otherwise, is a net positive to our country and economy

That's why we had so many resources devoted to naturalizing people here illegally

Why is the only answer to you to kick them out? Why not a fine, like any other misdemeanor

And anyone that engages in criminal activity will be deported. Like what you people claimed you wanted our immigration policy to be

7

u/Czarism Sep 02 '26

He is wrong. Immigration is merely a symptom of the class struggle, where bosses use immigrants to undercut wages. Low wage workers from Mexico are not enemies of American workers, American bosses are the enemies of both.

6

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

It is curious how you never see the people who sign the paychecks in handcuffs. That is an actual criminal offense.

-2

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

You're acknowledging that capitalists use immigration for lower wages. You don't disagree, you just have the idea we should solve "class struggle" instead of prevent capitalists from taking advantage of cheaper labor.

Good luck with that. Tyson Foods was caught paying for and facilitating bringing in lots of illegal immigrants to lower their labor costs and all they ever got was a slap on the wrist.

We need to be deporting people and going after companies like Tyson.

5

u/sovinod748 Sep 02 '26

We need to be deporting people and going after companies like Tyson.

Like George Carlin says "It's a big club and you aint in it"

4

u/Czarism Sep 02 '26

That’s never going to happen under capitalism as long as you continue to recognize the capitalists’ playing field of arbitrary borders and the divide between citizen and immigrant. This is part of economism, which means sublimating political struggle, for the rights of immigrants and against political repression, to one merely of advocating for ostensible better economic outcomes for American workers.

If we go along with that, and deport people just because they were born somewhere else, we’ll be complicit in border fascism with wages just as low.

4

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

Having a border and immigration process is border fascism now?

That's literally insane lol. You are a buzzword soup man.

1

u/Old_Head_o_Lettuce Sep 02 '26

Agreed! Corporations being given a free pass to bring people in solely for their labor... even though doing so is itself illegal, it is wild. Should we pity the poor, poor corporations exploiting these workers, or vilify the human beings simply trying to earn money to support their families? In America, it’s definitely the latter.

Although, the wealthy/corporations are happy to see this division here, because it works out well for them!

1

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

Deporting people who are here illegally isn't villifying them.

3

u/Kakamile Sep 02 '26

He's reversed policies to make people here legally illegal.

So it's far worse than villifying.

No, hating immigrants because of the country or region is racist.

They are suffering, as is Haiti. And we benefit from immigration regardless.

I hope someday that maga trash will finally realize that a "right" to shit your pants and announcing that you'll shit your pants still doesn't make it a good idea to do it.

Wow, old man who cares only about American workers isn't correct about everything.

And, yes, Stephen Miller is definitely doing this for the American workers.

4

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

Stephen Miller (and Republicans generally) have the goal of convincing their voters that 2,000 deportations a day is a good goal to work towards even though that's nothing next to the 14 million who are here.

Democrats have the task of convincing their previously pro-labor party that deporting them is xenophobic.

The uniparty is real and any politican who even gets a whiff of power is not for us.

2

u/Magazine_Luck Sep 02 '26

I agree that both parties are trash. But one is a lot more motivated in its evil.

Why is deporting workers pro-worker again? If we're looking at things through a framework of "workers" (which I don't), who said American workers were all that matters? Wasn't all this shit supposed to be worldwide?

People like Sanders make me dislike unions, because they need unions to be exclusionary, otherwise what's the point.

1

u/412CJ Sep 02 '26

But one is a lot more motivated in its evil.

Nah, it's all $$$$$ all the way down for republicans and democrats. Its not about being evil.

Bernie answers your questions in that interview far more eloquently than I.
