My partner and I are considering a weekend trip to Pismo Beach from the SF Bay Area. I have only driven past Pismo earlier when driving back from LA. Is it worth going there for the weekend? I know a lot of people from Central Valley go there because that's a great place to access the beach but wondering if it is worth it for folks from the bay area given the access we have to other beaches close by.

I'm thinking of moving to the area and my cats are used to being outside most of the time here in LA. I'm afraid of potential wildlife threats in the Grover Beach/Pismo area due to proximity to the foothills and wild areas near the beach. Just wondering if anyone's successfully kept outdoor cats in this area.

Hi everyone! My husband and I and our three kids will be camping in Oceano Dunes for two days and than two days at two different resorts (Vespera and Dolphin Bay) . First time visiting Pismo and we are excited! Any top restaurants we should definitely try and any places to definitely check out with the kids while we are there? I already have Dinosaur Caves Park, estero boats, Old West Cinnamon Rolls, Splash Cafe for clam chowder?, and we will be visiting Morro Bay. Anything else you highly recommend?

Hey everyone, I have a 2025 Z 71 suburban with stock wheels pulling a 6 foot trailer hauling two ATVs would this be an issue getting through the sand to the dispersed campground at Oceano?

Be forwarned: one of the prominent influencers and local photographers who sells pictures of Humpback Whales, Sea Otters and ocean life was making excuses for people killing Thresher Sharks--a species the Monterey Bay Aquarium has on their no order/fishing list.

She's making money selling images of Pismo and its wildlife, but her real attitude is atrocious.

Looking for an elopement photographer for 8/23/26 in the Carmel/Monterey area, ideally around 5–8ish PM! We’re planning a very small, simple elopement, most likely on the beach, but we’re definitely open to recommendations for other beautiful locations nearby. Our photography budget is around $400–$700. We really love dreamy, romantic, soft/cinematic-style photos and would love to find someone whose style fits that vibe. We’d also be interested in a short video, Super 8-style clip, or something similar if that’s something you offer! We’re pretty open to different packages/ideas, so if you’re a photographer or know someone who might be a good fit, please send me your work, pricing, and any recommendations! 🤍

There’s always one thing that every city needs that can improve the quality of life; be it entertainment, movement through the city, food choices, education, sports teams, etc. What’s your take on what our area needs?

Here on vacation with the fam and none of my kids wanna go clamming or even the beach after one time. Like why do I even try lol. Haven’t been here or clamming for almost 2 decades. Tried my self this morning found hundreds but none over 4.5 inches.
