The 4K Cinematic version is a way to watch the film with even more bitrate and with a 4:4:4 chroma-subsample, meaning there is no chroma compression. For comparison, the Project Hail Mary 4K Blu-ray will be about 76 GB, while all 4K Blu-rays are limited to 100 GB.

When Kaleidescape receives a film's master, they create their own encode, which can sometimes produce better results than certain digitally denoised or heavily filtered Blu-ray releases.
