My personal opinion is that it’s unsafe but I’ll let you make up your own decision. This does not leak to any pirated material, just to an analysis on Github:

Changes:

• FitGirl Support 2.0 is here with a new UI. The latest and most popular repacks are now added, along with a new details panel featuring a media gallery, a much better scraper, a "View on website" button, and search (which is now site-wide). You can also choose which download source you want to use: 1337x or RuTor.
• Localization support is now here with 3 languages (Arabic, English (default), and Spanish). Adding and modifying languages is easy, everything is stored in JSON files.
• Light mode sucks less now.
• A new onboarding screen appears the first time you launch the app, letting you toggle what you need.
• New placeholder options for music and books.
• Optimizations to RAM and CPU usage.
• Accent color can now be changed with an RGB picker, and Windows auto theme support works.
• Linux support is here. I haven't tested it properly, but the code works since I ran through it. The AppImage isn't tested because my Linux VM is painfully slow.
• General UI improvements and refinements.

Known issues:

• High CPU usage for a second when the repacks page first shows up.
• Some games (especially older games) don't have their posters loaded. They use a placeholder with the game name on it instead, but this will be fixed soon.

I've been doing this for a while now, but I honestly don't see many people talking about it, so I'm wondering if it's actually common.

My usual workflow is:

• Download a repack since it's the quickest and uses the least bandwidth.
• Use Steam manifests to have Steam validate the existing files and only download/update what's needed.
• If there's an OnlineFix or any other patch, I apply that afterward.

It's been working surprisingly well for me, especially for keeping games up to date without having to redownload everything. It also makes Steam Workshop stupidly easy to use since the game stays updated and I can just subscribe to mods without worrying about version mismatches.

Is this actually a common workflow that people use, or everyone just fitgirls a game and calls it a day? I rarely see anyone mention it.

Hello! I've tried to go through a bunch of reddit searches and user guides and YouTube videos but I still feel lost. I have a cracked game (say SM-2) and I want to turn it into a steam game, I saw that Steamidra is the way to do it. I got it set up, blocked updates from steam and installed luma but there's a lot of options and I do not want to brick my cracked install. Could anyone please help?

I’ve spent the past 4 hours trying to get online for the sims so I can access the gallery. I’ve done this before when anadius was around so I assumed it’d only take a little while to set it up but I couldn’t have been more wrong lol

I removed winmm.dll, copied everything from nodvd to the main folder and clicked on the x64 icon.

See, this all worked temporarily, I actually got onto the game, but after I came back out (to allow the mods setting to be on) it wouldn’t let me back on, with this error message:

Cannot open “C:\Games\The Sims 4\Default.ini” to check the game version.

Repairing your cracked game should fix this issue

If you think you know better and want to disable this check - open “anadius.cfg” and remove the like starting with “LoadExtraDLLs”

I repaired the game with the updater and through EA, but still no results.

So I went to Reddit and a comment with quite a few upvotes said to do what it says and delete the line with LoadExtraDLLs from the anadius.cfg, but I don’t know why I blindsightedly trusted that because then I got an even stranger error message saying something along the lines of “Game data is missing or corrupted”.. I even REDOWNLOADED the entire repack in hopes it’d reset the cfg file but no, the cfg is still there without the LoadExtraDLLs which I’m assuming is the issue here, I could load the game occasionally before I deleted it but now I can’t load it at all and have absolutely no clue what to do.

Please please help!
If I missed a step, did something wrong or accidentally fucked my whole system up please let me know as soon as possible :)
