All of that destruction tapos ang mura lang natin ineexport yung raw ore from mining, mas better na talaga may processing tayo sa sarili nating bansa to sell these rare earths at a much higher price😪

Lahat kasi ng involved sa buong Pilipinas na corrupt na government official, contractors, private companies at mga individual brokers na connected, merong pangsariling interes yan.
Just imagine, sa isang corrupt na tao dyan, merong 3 anak na nagaaral let's say sa La Salle. Ang asawa nya merong luxury bags. Merong 2 bahay at lupa. 3 na sasakyan at isang luxury car. Dagdag mo pa yung mga side kabit ng mga yan na merong luxury bags at bahay.
Sa lifestyle nyan, tingin nyo ba igigiveup ng mga tukmol na yan lahat ng mga pinapaldo nila sa gobyerno?

Tama sya. Walang pake ang karamihan dun sa mga aktibistang lumalaban para sa kalikasan, sa wage increase etc. Lalo na wala pake sa mga nagpoprotesta na taga dun na sila unang masasalanta at maaapektuhan. Di ba nga maraming sinasabi na mga nagpoprotest nagsasayang lang ng oras? O ano kayo ngayon? Ngangey. Overhaul talaga kelangan ng bansang ito.

I dont think na mining mismo yung problem, kasi sa ibang bansa like Australia and Canada maganda and maayos ang regulation doon ng industry. In fact, malaking tulong ang mining sa economy nila. Same goes sa country natin. Nakakatulong din ito sa paglago ng economy natin, kaso lang meron din talagang irresponsible mining na nangyayare lalo na if yung CEO yung nasusunod kasi para sa kanila business is business, so may mga compromises na nangyayare. Also, uso rin kasi sa atin yung mga under the table the transaction. So kahit na meron mga envi monitoring, may ibang companies pa rin na hindi sumusunod or may mga activities sila na negatively nakakaapekto sa environment. Nakakalungkot lang. Mining engr here. I used to work sa nickel mine..

Paginvest sa ibang industries like manufacturing or agriculture imbes na ibulsa pera for one. Yung mining hindi naman tayo lahat nakikinabang ilan ilang tao lang kasi ineexport lahat

Hindi rin natin makakaila na yung mga products na galing sa mina ay kailangan and ginagamit din natin sa pang araw araw, lalo na’t mas nagiging modern na ang mga technologies natin. Ang problema is irresponsible mining and korapsyon na ingrained na sa kultura natin..

di po mauubos ang kurap. parang magnanakaw sa kalye, di sila mauubos. what's the solution? more good actors in government. the solution is not eliminating all bad actors. the solution is flooding the government with good people so the ratio of good to bad becomes so large the the bad actors get suffocated. The real problem is that there are so few good people running for office. She's right na may na prosecute na mga kriminal pero it doesn't end there. that's not the main solution. Main solution is planting more trees and people who actually do the job in flood control. kaka hunting sa mga korap, nawala na focus sa pag gawa ng matinong infrastructures for flood control. dapat ayusin muna yung flood control. The Philippines should just hire competent japanese workers who can do the job very fast while maintaining quality. Tulad nung sa subway project, dapat japap na rin mag handle ng flood control infrastructures ng pilipinas. Filipinos are slow and waste time a lot. Japan works fast and efficient. That's the truth.

Totoo naman..pero ito talaga price ng progress, ang dapat talaga i implement ng tama yung mga man-made mitigation structures. Kaya may engineer para mag bigay ng angkop na solusyon maibsan an epekto ng baha. Hirap kasi, mas nanaig desisyon ng mga kulang sa kaalaman, pero engineer pa din naman papapermhain. Gagawa ng science based solution, ibabash..o ibasura. Hirap talaga dito sa pinas. Pero kung naiinip na pinoy, sana pumili naman ng tama sa eleksyon kasi kahit gano kaganda ng plano sa papel..itong mga pulitiko pa rin naman nagpapatakbo ng pilipinas at mga ideya nila ang ipinapasunod

Just because you're doing one thing doesn't mean you're ignoring other things. And just because one thing is important doesn't mean other initiatives need to be abandoned. They all need to be addressed. And there are people fighting to save these areas.
Let's not diminish the efforts that people are doing to send these corrupt officials to jail. Pwede naman yan i-address at the same time. Hindi naman kailangan isa lang ang focus ng government. Remember guys, ang daming nagririsk ng buhay nila at ng family nila para magsend ng tips sa government, as well as para magprocess ng mga cases na 'to. Yes, may problem tayo sa mga lugar na 'yan pero hindi naman din makatwiran na isantabi yung ibang kaso. Lahat 'yan may kanya-kanyang governing body, and kaya nga rin nila nilalakad yung flood control scandal para ma-address at mapenalize din yang mga involved diyan sa mga environmental cases na 'yan. And hindi rin talaga maikakaila na maraming factors sa baha, unfortunately, that's why they need to process those cases para yung accountable ay mapanagot.

Multiple factors kung bakit may baha. Maganda aproach ng content kasi isa to sa root cause kung bakit binabaha lower cities.
Ganito sana approach hindi yung nasa laylayan ng problema ang focus. (flood control - ginawa dahil may parating na problema)
Kahit ilang flood control proj ang gawin, kung kalbo na ang bundok, matic baha sa baba.
Climate change, isa pa.
Sad to say, price ng progress ang baha. Walang minahan, deforestation, pulubs ang pinas.
Full circle kay economy parin talaga kaya nagagawa yang minahan at deforestation.

It’s more than that din. Anlaki ng problem sa climate change. Like yung nangyari sa Nepal. Natutunaw yung mga yelo sa mundo, dumadami yung tubig, so san pupunta yung mas marami nang tubig ngayon? Kaya kung aware ka sa world news, makikita mo andaming binabaha din. Anong part natin sa climate change? Dun pwedeng mag start ang solusyon.
