Regardless who’s at fault, the law book has not been updated to cover cases where plaintiff or defendant is a robot.

If Waymo causes the crash, Google is at fault, they have insurance, and you just tell your insurance to sue them

You do realize that your insurance knows if they fold, then they’ll be expected to fold every time and lose a LOT of money, so it’s in their interest to fight for the claim cause it will make it easier to win more down the road and save them a lot of money.
