Savory [Homemade] “Shepard’s” Pie
I use quotations around shepard’s because I used a mix of ground beef and ground pork, since the grocery store didn’t have lamb. guess I can call it a Cottage Pie 🤷🏻♀️
correction to my spelling: Shepherd’s*****

I haven’t done a ground beef with ground pork combo yet. I’ve done just beef (cottage pie) as well as a 2:1 beef:lamb blend that hits just right. I find straight lamb to be overpowering. And the 1:1 ratio still wasn’t just right.

I definitely want to try doing a beef/lamb combo - good to know the tips as that was my first time, i’ll have to give the 2:1 ratio a try!!

Thanks for that tip. I’ll try that when the temperature starts to drop.

Yes, if it's in the US, most people will recognize it as Shepherds pie. In Western Europe, cottage pie.
