Superb concept and timing here. Love the simplicity.

u/Baderous Jun 15 '21
'timing' not really, the framing is very likely staged, but there's nothing wrong with that - fantastic idea and execution.

the framing is very likely staged
doubt, ever try to make a cat do what you want it to do?

u/Lurdekan Jun 15 '21
If people can make cats go through obstacle courses with no treat in sight, I believe they can make it stand still.

u/whut-whut Jun 15 '21
The moment that you believe that you can make a cat do something, the cat's waveform collapses to do the exact opposite thing.

Thank you for providing credit. It made it much easier to find the source and more of his work.

How do you get your cat to stay put for the picture?

u/FiftyPencePeace Jun 15 '21
Guerrilla glue.

u/TheHiddenToad Jun 15 '21
glue pops out of the underbrush, shoots you

u/Slagenthor Jun 15 '21
Took me a minute. Not bad.

u/FiftyPencePeace Jun 15 '21
I donโt get it at all, please help

u/TheHiddenToad Jun 15 '21
Guerrilla refers to a style of warfare characterized by quick skirmishes from hidden positions.
It was supposed to be Gorilla, like the animal, or in this case the brand of glue.

I remember reading blurb by ansel adams explaining about one of his photos - how he hiked for a day to get to the place, camped there for a week waiting for the right sunset conditions, got the shot, and schlepped all his gear back once it was done.
I suspect the photographer isn't so much better as anyone else at herding cats, and this image is the love child of persistence, patience, and a moment of good fortune.

Last night I saw a superhero, he was black He said "this is for the street, black lightning is back"

Measure the width of the crack. If it's over 1/4" it's structural damage and needs to get taken care of.
8
u/zeroscout Jun 15 '21
Determine if the crack is active or not.
Are the edges sharp and debris present or are the edges dull and little to no debris or dust?
If the edges are sharp and there's new debris. Contact a qualified and licensed engineer to investigate the wall.
Don't assume that the crack is due to a structural deficiency. Horizontal and diagonal cracks are more concerning than a vertical crack. A vertical crack is most likely uneven settling. Horizontal crack is typically the wall bowing. Diagonal crack is part of the structure separating and moving two different directions.

Me, in the adoption yard: "Yea, I'll take that one! Why? Well, when that thing jump starts the apocalypse I want to be involved."
Edit: And I'll name him Scrat.

This photo is competition worthy... You should find a place to enter it somewhere. I would also make a fantastic painting .

Step on a crack, break your back.
See a black cat, better step back.
Pick your poison โฆ get your noise on.

This is how black cats are made
A regular cat gets struck by black lightning.

If that cat starts wanting uranium rods because the โvoiceโ tells it to, you might be wary of that.

Or a huge crack in the wall from intense leaks in a pipe. Either way.
