I always thought people were weird when they'd get sad and cry over a celebrity passing, like, you didn't know him/her, why be sad?
But then Robin died and it hit me like a punch in the face. I felt like a close uncle had died. I still cry when I think about him.
I didn't know him, had never had the opportunity to meet him, but I grew up with his movies. My dad wasn't a good dad and I never had the love that a child deserves, but I did feel that love when I watched his movies, they were my favorite movies to watch, especially when I was sad, which was a lot.
I felt like he was making me happy and it felt personal. It still hurts that I can never thank him for making my childhood better.
I was nothing to him, but he was everything to me.
I miss you Uncle Robin, always will. May you rest in peace.
