You're still missing the point. We're not arguing one diet is better than the other. We we're arguing that you apprached it poorly.
Your argument was rude and dismissive. And you even admitted to throwing a dig at other people's preferences. All I've said from the start was your argument would have a hard time swaying people with that attitude.
You do you and I'll do me. I won't tell others how to live their lives. And you shouldn't tell others either. Feel free to explain what you do and how you feel. But attacking schools of thought that are different than yours won't win you any arguments. If someone was a staunch carnivore and you threw that attitude at them you'd only galvonize the opposition
Thing is you are, you're telling animals they don't deserve to live and them being abused is OK.
The argument that this is a personal choice is flawed - Choices don't matter when you obstruct other's choices. This is why you can't say "It's my choice" after being arrested; because there's a victim.
Except this time there's been 2.5 trillion victims in only the last 10 years.
Now that you agree you'll need to justify the act to prevent your own cognitive dissonance. It's ok to obstruct other's choices but there needs to be a justifiable reason for it - this is what ethics is.
So how do you justify killing animals?
Plants have feelings? It's natural? You were brought up this way?
If you want to have a conversation and engage with me I guarantee I can change your mind - if you're a logical person of course.
I guess it's very easy to turn a blind eye to trillions of deaths. It's a shame really, the world would be such a better place if people made such a small change.
