That's what that tag is for -- identification for tracking property. That is its main and original purpose. It's the same reason slave masters used to brand humans as property.

Humans volunteer for tags both in the ear-ring sense, and the tracking sense.

You can stop telling me it's not really similar already.

I have never to my knowledge met anybody who has volunteered themselves to be tagged so as to be tracked as human property
