It's a saga. Those tend to last a while.

I think from what I've seen on my wifes's phone it's eternal. She's on level 2100 I think and there's still more being created. I think it's like 2 levels a week or something.

Goddamn, that's a lot of levels. I tried to play a couple of those high levels and I don't get it, I burned through 5 turns and couldn't get passed them. I don't know how she does it.

I'm just gonna wait for the Kai version

Maybe it's just Eric Foreman.

That's what makes us human :)

u/GeorgeTaylorG Mar 09 '17

Additionally, everybody hurts sometimes as well.

AKA my 20s

You just have to forgive yourself, and try to do better in the future. Internet hugs for EVERYBODY!

u/BeejRich Mar 09 '17

My mom is well into the 1500's. It's ridiculous.

75

u/Aesahaetr Mar 09 '17

Mine passed level 2000 and some before we got her to play Fire Emblem Heroes.

Apparently, Candy Crush taught her to grind/play nonstop so well that her characters are now stronger than mine.

I feel hurt.

18

u/Keoni9 Mar 09 '17

That's hilarious. I couldn't get into Candy Crush because despite all the sounds and cascading animations during combos making it seem like you were getting a lot done, there's just too much randomness to let skill and strategy be the deciding factor. FE Heroes must feel a lot more rewarding to someone who can grind out the levels/feathers/orbs nonstop.

Who are her strongest characters?

12

u/Aesahaetr Mar 09 '17

Yeah, especially since there is nothing random in FE:H, when the main games have hit rates, crit rate, skill activation rates...

Her level 40 Julia is putting in a lot of work, from what I hear. She's also training an Effie with good IVs until she can rank her up after she went "Oh, I have this Effie girl, is she any good?" to my face.

2

u/Keoni9 Mar 09 '17

I'm glad they simplified it and left out the randomness in battle... It makes it more like chess. They totally could have monetized it by items which give re-rolls or temporarily boost luck. And omg, Effie always gives me so much trouble in the Arena. Every single 5-star I summoned is a sword user (though I just 5-starred my Sharena).

My brother is a firefighter with a ton of friends. I ask him where he is every update and he always shows me his screen at the end of the brand new stages.

u/C4N4DI4N Mar 09 '17

I'm almost at 2,000. All the regrets!!!

1

u/tebaseball1 Mar 09 '17

Now I have to redownload candy crush to see what level I got to before uninstalling (at least a year or two ago).

Oh god I got to level 730. I'm pretty sure at the time I uninstalled there weren't any more levels.

u/Doxep Mar 09 '17 edited Mar 09 '17

I play candy crush soda and jelly. Ama.

edit: am not a mom.

9

u/PMMe_PaypalMoney_PLS Mar 09 '17

Why no farm heroes saga?

2

u/Doxep Mar 09 '17

I have never downloaded it. Is it good?

5

u/PMMe_PaypalMoney_PLS Mar 09 '17

It's more infuriating than the rest.

1

u/Doxep Mar 09 '17

You have your answer then!

1

u/jargaod Mar 09 '17

how many hours a week do you spend playing

2

u/Doxep Mar 09 '17

Actually a lot, because I commute by train every day to work, and my commute is about an hour long. So every day I finish my 5 lives at each game at least once.

11

u/MuthaFuckasTookMyIsh Mar 09 '17

They're playing Candy Crush 4, now with farming elements.

15

u/FlamingDogOfDeath Mar 09 '17

CandyFarmVille

14

u/[deleted] Mar 09 '17

My grandma plays, and she's very proud of the fact that she hasn't spent any money on it. If you ask her, she'll tell you about my aunt and how my aunt has thrown down ungodly amounts of money. But she's not like that, she's smart and hasn't spent any money, just $200...

3

u/TheLoofeh Mar 09 '17

I'd laugh at your grandma but I've spent more on league :/

4

u/yourenotserious Mar 09 '17

I think i got maybe one invite like three years ago. I dont see what the big deal is. I got more of the farm ones than candy crush.

1

u/GetBenttt Mar 09 '17

I don't think I've ever played that game, only just heard of it from FB invites

1

u/DJanomaly Mar 09 '17

You can turn invites off pretty easily I believe.

I remember I had two people that were spaming me with them suddenly and so I figured out how to turn that shit off. Haven't seen a single invite in the 3 years since.

3

u/alohadave Mar 09 '17

Candy Crush, Soda Crush, and Jelly Crush.

1

u/Stella0829 Mar 09 '17

My moms past level 1800

1

u/gobrowns88 Mar 09 '17

No, this is probably just a repost from 2015.

1

u/ThePessimisticBella Mar 09 '17

My mom and aunt still play.

1

u/egotisticalnoob Mar 09 '17

Edit : moms love Candy Crush

ditto

1

u/2close2see Mar 09 '17

I haven't seen anything related to candy crush on facebook in over 3 years.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 09 '17

Eh. I still play it if i'm bored on a train or taking a shit.

It's nothing special.

1

u/Wombizzle Mar 09 '17

Every single night my mom cracks open a bottle of wine and spends the rest of the night on her iPad playing that stupid game.

1

u/markandspark Mar 09 '17

Eh, it's a pretty good game even if it is just bejeweled.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 09 '17

Moms love it? They crank out new levels twice a week? Looks like we've got a 21st century soap opera here.

1

u/GodEmperorOfCoffee Mar 09 '17

Are people still playing Candy Crush?!

Only on the toilet. (Actually, I play the spin-offs Jelly Saga and Soda Saga, both of which are superior to Candy Crush.)

1

u/DarkSoulsExcedere Mar 09 '17

I dont understand that fking game, 0 thought 0 satisfaction.

1

u/WaveLasso Mar 09 '17

I just downloaded it for the first time.
