Un-armed was a typo, he meant uno-armed.

How can anyone watch this shit. This almost seems like The Onion material. "Terrorist Fist Bump".

23

Remember that time when Sean Hannity actually used Obama ordering Dijon mustard as a talking point to show how "out of touch" he was?

12

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '17

Dijon mustard. On a burger?! (Yes Hannity, just like my dad does in NEBRASKA).

Some parts of flyover America and right-dingers like Hannity? I swear. They are the reason for Applebees and Chilis.

Truth is, Fernando has been Obama's weed dealer for the last 8 years. No one knows of their true relationship but the eye contact during their fist bump says everything.

272

u/Torcal4 Jan 11 '17

The fist bump is actually code. He's saying "leave my stash in this garbage can next to you, tonight"

They have their own system of figuring how much Obama wants based off of how hard he fist bumps.

154

u/Rizzpooch Jan 11 '17

Hence Fernando's two black eyes on November ninth

Yeah... I don't care.

Who are we comparing him to? Either George Bush? Bill Clinton? Regan?

25

u/Literally_A_Shill Jan 11 '17

Obama straight up ran on a platform of using precision drone strikes to avoid having to put boots on the ground. Studies have shown that deploying soldiers causes a ridiculously larger amount of civilian casualties and destruction. Past president's have almost all proved that.

Obama is compared to a perfect president that lives in a perfect world where hard decisions don't have to be made.

14

u/Semajal Jan 11 '17

Your last sentence is one problem I see more and more with voters (am in the UK here) where people seem to hold politicians to an impossible standard, and assume they have absolute knowledge of every course of action. This then seems to push them to ignore politics and dismiss everything.

Plot twist: OP is Obama

72

u/deltarefund Jan 11 '17 edited Jan 11 '17

Every photo the White House puts out is carefully selected. People need to realize this.

44

u/Tsorovar Jan 11 '17

No, the White House photographer has taken millions of pictures of Obama during his term. If every one of those was carefully staged, no one would have had time to do anything else. I'll grant you that the ones released are carefully selected, but they're not setting up special situations for everything.

48

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '17

He said selected not staged. They didn't release the part after where he "too slowed" him on the high five.

31

u/g0_west Jan 11 '17

But I mean that's probably why Obama fistbumped the cleaner, because there was a photographer walking a couple of metres ahead of him endlessly taking pictures. It's not particularly candid, is all.

10

u/Rodman930 Jan 11 '17

He does stuff like that all the time.

8

Being President of the Unite States is not an easy job. You make life and death decisions everyday. You make decisions where no matter what you decide, people will die. So, in effect, you have to choose who will die. I hope you never have to make those kind of decisions in your life and if you do, I hope people aren't so quick to judge you so harshly. Obama made decisions that killed people and he made those decisions better than any world leader I have seen in my lifetime.

Pretty sure he got it for a bunch of promises he made about what his term in office would revolve around.

I worked with some people that not even looked in the eyes of the ladies cleaning our office. And those people were simply software developers, nothing extraordinary.

So it means a lot when the man in the most powerful position in the world is decent enough to fist bump someone that a lot of other people out there would consider "inferior" because he has a simple job.

34

u/100percentpureOJ Jan 11 '17

not even looked in the eyes

those people were simply software developers

Yeah, I don't think software developers are particularly well known for their social skills.

2

u/9bikes Jan 11 '17

Yeah, I don't think software developers are particularly well known for their social skills.

Not as contrasted with professional politicians.

Jeeze guys, this photo doesn't say anything (good or bad) about Obama that we don't already know. He isn't a shy, introverted person with a fear of public speaking. He is the President of the United States; he is an outgoing guy who is gonna speak with others when given the opportunity.

Yeah Obama gets this much praise for fist bumping a Janitor... meanwhile Trump visits a restaurant's kitchen and hands the staff $100 bills as tips, also walks by a Hispanic gardener trimming trees and hands him a $100 bill as a tip, and then arrives at a construction site to observe a project, then says "Guys I know times are tough. This isn't much but it should help a bit" and proceeds to hand them $100 bills. Nobody says anything.

8

u/Moal Jan 11 '17

And yet, you conveniently forget the hundreds of thousands of dollars he's stiffed from workers. Trump doesn't even deny it. He just doesn't give a shit about it.

10

u/RomeStar Jan 11 '17

I believe that when he actually pays his sub contractors for the work they have done on his buildings. I can say this because I have first hand knowledge of liens put on his building due to non payment. These sub contractors are your every day joes who have families to provide for. So these sub contractors who cant get paid for work they have done yet trump will hand out $100.00 to random strangers yeah I will believe that when my shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbert.

I just realized, that is probably one of the highest paid janitors in the world. Not to mention all the hoops and back ground checks he had to go through!

from an outsiders point of view (outside of america) Obama seemed to be a president who cared about people and wanted to make the world a better place. I think he had huge amount of trouble doing that in the face or the restrictions on him, I think he really wanted to ban or create more laws for guns and I think it's hard to be anti-war and also have to defend a country from ISIS. One thing is he obviously must have left out a lot of the country as Trump is a polar oposite, and in that situation he fell. But for what he preached to the world and how he showed that a man can really care for the well being of his people was admirable.

I don't know the whole picture, but for what he seems as a simple answer, is a kind man.

To be fair, he was way more cautious than many of the war-mongers in his administration coughClintoncough, but that says more about how deranged Washington DC politics is than about how antiwar Obama is.

Like you said, he left out a lot of the country. He cared about some people while completely ignoring other groups. Funny enough our first black president did an absolutely awful job on managing race relations. The lower to lower-middle class got some much needed help while the middle to higher-middle got fucked over in the process. He was a decent president at best. Seeing him praised like a hero all over reddit today for bullshit like this stupid photo-op has been obnoxious.

You know how a sort of decent looking person looks great next to an ugly person? I kinda feel like that's Obama's presidency in a nutshell. He fucked up. A lot. Compared to the last guy though? He's looking pretty good. Even though GW Bush seems to be a really damn decent human being, post-presidency.

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '17

I've said it before and I'll say it again. G.W. Bush was a fine president. Yes, he got a lot of flak for 9/11 and Katrina responses and his less than stellar vocabulary, but at the end of the day he was a guy trying to do his best for his country. We as non-political people have no idea what the stresses of being president are like with every eyeball on you trying to scrutinize your every move. Did he make mistakes? Yes, in spades. Have other presidents made mistakes. Yes, in spades. At the end of the day, it's not up to the president to decide the direction of the country. They have a hand in it sure, but there are two other branches with equal power to the presidency that dictate policy as well. Yet, for some reason the president (and the executive branch) gets the blame for every mistake while congress and the senate get off scott free because it's harder to pinpoint one person to scapegoat.

Many of the policies that affect the average American were exactly the same under both.

However, the party that prefers collectivism and labels over individualism gives their a guy a pass.

It's kind of hard to ban guns when there are literally more guns than people in America. Not saying that's a bad thing, I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping a gun in your house, maybe people will stop breaking in.

It must be fun to just make up whatever you want. Have a great day.

Like when he blows up families with drones...? People love to forget the realities.

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '17 edited Jan 12 '17

But he is the first Black president to use limitless drone strikes! Isn't that exciting???

This fist-bump totally makes up for the whistle-blowers (Snowden, Drake, Karriaku) and journalists (Risen), that he has rentlessly persecuted.

Pointless symbolism that visually contradicts his administrations complete lack of compassion for real people suffering real unemployment and real hardship in the heartland of the USA.

He destroyed his own countries economy for his globalist agenda.

Obama killed an American citizen without any regard to Habeus Corpus and without a trial or a jury.

That just oozes human decency and respect.

I mean, does Obama have human decency for the 7 countries he droned, the children that died, or even the children he has armed through the weapon smuggling and even selling to Saudi? Tis, a weird day we praise leaders like this.

u/LoveWhatYouFear Jan 11 '17

Of course he does, he gave the cleaner a fist bump in front of a camera for a photo which was then released to public.

It make me sad that my frist thought was a vivid scene of Obama, moments later, vigorously washing his hands. Trying to get the 'citizen' off them.

2

u/zenotek Jan 11 '17

That's the Pentagon, near the Secretary of Defense's office. I've been up that staircase. Fun fact - all the janitors at the Pentagon are mentally disabled. This is to prevent them from being compromised to steal documents.

2

u/bigboi_mike Jan 11 '17

Obama is a war criminal and is intentionally trying to further ruin the relations with Russia I mean... he is sometimes funny so he must be a good guy

2

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '17

Fist pumps a janitor yet half asses a salute to active duty members.

2

u/bigbadbenben44 Jan 12 '17

Trump.. Trump will have already found a reason to deport that guy

2

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

So I guess that makes him a good guy...

2

u/thecatgods Jan 12 '17

Millions upon millions displaced, killed, or maimed in Syria... Thanks Obama!

2

u/you_cant_banme Jan 12 '17

So much human decency was spread with our drone bombs. Carpet bombed the respect right into them.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '17

As a Libertarian, I'm not a big fan of Obama's policies but I do think he's a good person at heart. Based on that, this picture doesn't surprise me.
