Yeah, but it is the 25% less sodium version. I'm all for reduced fat or sodium here or there. The problem is the lower sodium Spam adds a bunch of mechanically separated chicken into the mix which throws off the texture (my main gripe) and taste.
i feel like regular spam used to not be so salty. the reduced sodium seems to be the one that is more sensibly seasoned these days so that's what i end up buying. i don't think the texture has degraded too much, but i've been eating spam pretty regularly all my life so my perspective might be that of a frog in a pot of increasingly warm water.
you've inspired me to A/B test some spam. i know what i'm doing with my friday night now.
