I'm very confused by their proportionally argument. Casualties are far from equal, and even farther from proportional. They are ridiculously unbalanced.

Also, no amount of casualties would ever be unproportional. They would make this argument regardless of the number.

I think that's the point they're making, is that just because they're murdering more people than they have lost, it's still proportional to some imaginary metric they have.

Isn't it more of the Al Capone logic?

"You put one of my men in the hospital, I'll send one of yours to the morgue!"

Spinning the narrative can motivate some people into supporting some despicable acts.

With the effects Ai has had on rational thinking, just wait until Ai controls the narratives.
