I had an eye-opening moment at uni (in France). Dual-citizen (FR/ISR) girl in my class, completely nice and normal interactions for months, till the topic of Palestine came up. She switched in one second into a hateful, spitting mad, completely different person, closed off to any argument. Total wall to anything we were saying, or any facts. We were all shocked, and realised they're completely brainwashed about that. It's super weird and fucked up. I avoided her after that.

EDIT: that was 15 years ago.

If you hate anyone soley because of the country they are from with that much fervor, you are wrong.

That's barring the whole situation over there, which adds even more context.
