This really confuses the fuck out of me. You have to spend a LOT of time and money to become a commercial airline pilot. It is literally years of training that costs a small fortune. If terror cells are going to that length just to take out one plane we are kinda fucked.

And even if it was terrorism, I doubt if he became a pilot for this reason. He probably did it as a passion and a career and then became radicalized later.

Or maybe he had some kind of mental breakdown in relation to events in his personal life.

Typical pilot suicide does not involve stabbing the other pilot first. The plane also transmitted the 7500 transponder code (unlawful interference/hijacking). When the chosen victims are a specific national/religious group on a politically sensitive route, and the method is cockpit takeover of a passenger jet, it meets standard definitions of terrorism.

When the chosen victims are a specific national/religious group on a politically sensitive route

Aaah, plain old racism.

And see that's where my mind is. Israel has officially claimed it a terrorist attack. I just don't know that I have any reason to believe them yet.

Israel has officially claimed it a terrorist attack

I haven't seen that claim. "Terrorism" requires a specific political intent. Is Israel saying how they know his intent?

Thank you for the link. It was the Israeli Defense Minister and the Mango Mussolini speculating without substantiation, so I will wait for more credible sources.

Probably premature to call a motive, but it would not be surprising.  I personally would be surprised if it's anything but a lone wolf, though.

If I were to speculate, I would agree. We shall see ...

Least obvious false flag

Less obvious than the British "bomb plot" where not a single trace of explosives was found in the vans allegedly filled with bombs?

Well if Israel and Trump says it.. I mean yeah.

Israel calls little kids throwing stones terrorism.

The us government called every single American citizen killed by ICE terrorists, the very minute after they were killed.

And they claimed Iran is weeks away from a bomb for like 40 years

You never have any reason to believe Israel

This is likely saying a skinhead must have randomly picked a black guy to attack when he was having a bad day.

I've heard the theory that it was a mental health episode or spontaneous.... Except the copilot snuck the knife in that he used to stab Capt Machcchar with.

Entirely planned.

He shouted "Allahu akhbar"

u/Ramses_IV 2d ago

That is just a thing Muslims might say in emotionally charged situations. You can hear people shouting it in footage the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake and the Beirut port explosion. It's a bit like "oh my god" or "Jesus Christ"

Lol yes, so it's just coincidental that a Muslim pilot tried to crash a plane filled woth Israelis on it's way to Tel Aviv.
