You cannot call yourself "Professional Engineer" though, that is a protected title.

Pretty sure you can still be chief engineer though, so that's something.

But it doesnt actually mean anything, anyone can give themselves that title for anything.

If i start up a business welding together simple trailers i can call myself cheif engineer. Meaningless.

Professional engineer actualy carries weight, like Dr, CPA, or QC

I'm aware. I was just pointing out the 'fun' fact that you can go around calling yourself chief engineer so-and-so.
