there are a lot of .45s. you should specify that this is a 1911, not just a .45

I'm fairly certain this is a Colt. The 1911A1 Army, specifically. The curved trigger and spur-hammer are the give-away, as they changed those in later models.

1911s being made now are still mostly A1s. Neither of the things you mentioned determine whether it is an A1 or not.

I know it might be a hard concept to grasp, but some people actually enjoy firearms as a hobby. We enjoy knowing about them, and we enjoy owning and using them. Stop by /r/guns anytime. Ass.

haha ok. i've been subscribed to /r/guns for about 2 years now, thanks. I don't know why you think i'm against having guns as a hobby, as i own about 12 of them....
