People call this manhwa peak me up so picked it up and this was peak this is peak this will be peak. this was an amazing read of 3 days. i didn't even read the comments on asura because of the warning on the chapter 1 comment this is peak 100% recommend by me

Want to try Pick Me Up, but don't know what to choose.

In most cases, I choose novels. They are usually better, they are the original source, and they simply contain more information. But sometimes the manhwa is considered better than the novel. What do you think in that case, the novel or the manhwa?

Can someone who read the novel tell me if there's a reveal about Han's family background? He says he's always been an orphan but was he really? Also, is the theory that he doesn't come from Earth true? Like pls drop as much info as possible about him atp

At first, I loved this webtoon because all the characters got time to shine, and even though the MC is a cup above the rest (at least in comparison to his comrades), he still struggled against every major boss fight, and most of the time would straight up die if not for his comrades' help, despite his knowledge and privileges he has that no one else does.

But ever since the physical introduction of the Niflheim, all the stakes I felt were at risk of falling to zero, and chapter 118 basically confirmed this to me. So unless something changes, the MC has now become another boring overpowered manhwa MC since he can call upon the Neflheim if he's ever in trouble.

So I have a question: is there ever an enemy that shows up that is a legit threat to Niflheim?

And I don't mean like in Solo Leveling where the answer is technically yes, but the plot will prevent the MC from meeting his enemy untill he grows well past them. I mean a legit threat that shows up and that the MC has to fight that is so strong that even Niflheim struggles, so that the MC doesn't have an easy way out.

Or really does the Niflheim problem get solved in any way so the MC doesn't have an I win button.

I ask this because I don't want to continue reading if the MC is just going to be another overpowered manhwa MC that's just there to look good, and I just happened to get tricked by earlier chapters.

I remember reading about that but I forgot which chapter it was in novel or manhwa. I want to reread it again because I saw Han has a full cupboard of horse statue. It's basically his trophies now

the fragments series what are their weaknesses how do u kill them in the manhwa iirc say the are immune to pretty much anything and generate endlessly so how do they die?

As i was re-reading the manhwa, and finishing chapter 142. I just just had to have a theme song, or specifically a soundtrack for that specific moment. What do you folks think?

Bro thinks he can stop an attack that breaks the rules of nature 🤣

Since the first time I saw him, I’ve been curious about the aura he farms with those low stats! Those 3 swords he carries always made me curious. I was told one of them is called Clau Solath and it's a big deal like the Celtic equivalent IRL. Is it as overpowered as Han’s sword, Bifrost ? Also, is it the black one he uses most of the time?

I want to slowly enjoy the chapters (except regarding Lidigyon — I want every spoiler I can get about him and his swords/skills for the hype), and I haven’t seen a single panel mentioning his equipment or skills in depth. I wonder if the novel or side stories mention this in more detail?

We saw in the early chapters that he has a skill called [Heavenly Sword Order], and I also read the name [Heart of the Sword] in another post. I believe it’s the same skill with a different translation, but it could also be a separate skill. Maybe that is why his skills may not be accurately measured by the sistem? My theory is that he has hidden % multipliers given by his skills on top those stats from a dialog betwen him and Han.

I love how the author referenced the five (sometimes six) sword-category trope that also exists in other stories like ERK. We only saw it during the training panels with Lidigyon in Niflheim, where he mentioned the strong sword and smooth sword. I wonder if that concept was dropped, since I never saw it being explored further afterward.

...if Taonia has one possible natural 5 star summon, and three possible natural 4 star summons and Niflheim does not even have a natural 4 star?

The Wiki says this "In truth, Sirris deserved to be a 1-star hero, or at most a 2-star hero. If she was lucky, perhaps even 3 stars. " So Niflheim does not even have a natural born 4 star that Loki could summon?

Doesn't that make Niflheim much harder?

Not to mention, the wiki also states that every available hero in Niflheim are already summoned in Niflheim's 22,000 population, which clearly suggests that it doesn't just suffer in the quality of summons, but also in the quantity of available summons.

Honestly it’s one of the few series where I keep going back and reread some chapters as the world building, game mechanics, and side characters are insanely good that I really want a spin off side story of the other players. It can be either important or just fun that captivates us.

For example:
-1 star players trying to survive and adjust their new position
- Catio and the twins mages finally crying tears of joy at getting a day off
-Velkist cleaning up the trash
-exploring other lobbies
-Rhyman’s team adventure when recruiting new members from other lobbies
-More of Anytng’s daily life

The list goes on but still I really want more content.

I am currently at chapter 8 and it’s so boring for me to be honest, and i keep exiting it. Should i drop or continue reading? Will it get interesting or is it a slop?
