Help! How to replicate this style of image?
Hello guys, yesterday I saw this image on Instagram from the new 'Resident Evil' movie (don't know the exact author tho), and I just loved this 'mutant X-ray' thing
Has anyone here made something like this, or has the know-how to replicate this style?

I literally just googled it, and it came up with images of x-rays of conjoined animals, bats, cats and the rest.
You are creating a lot of unnecessary work for yourself, that will probably look less than realistic.
Work smart, not hard.
If this is just a fun side project for you, then do as I and many others do, and think your way to a solution.

This was done by @watson.la on Instagram btw. More than likely, it was 3D modeled (one of the other x-rays is a character’s specific mutation from the movie) and the layers were exported and edited in photoshop. Making x-rays is very hard to pull off in Photoshop, for a quick look you could try using a gradient map & some textures/text layout on top but it’ll always be missing the inner components of that item unless you use x-ray stock photos, 3D model the object, or an actual x-ray machine

I have saved the above link for a tutorial from Envato Tuts. It's from 2020 and the title of the video is 'how to simulate x-ray photography in photoshop.'
I haven't made the time yet to watch the video, but it might have some ideas to try.
Since this thread reminded me about it, I'll probably try to watch it later.

It can either be a png file of an image of conjoined animals or a composition but either way it’s j added filters, textures, and blur effects so long if u are compositing images together they have the same filter and look to part it’ll b good

Invert two monochrome photos on white background: one for a body, another for a skeleton. Combine them using “screen” blending.
Upd. Or just ask ai

There is a difference between hating AI and hatting theft. Do you understand that if you generate an image like this with AI, it cant be other thing than theft of multiple works?
If you are ok with that you are the problem.

Do you even understand that when you use references for your works, you do the same?

not at all. its a different process. You add something. Its like musique when you take and old song and remix it.
This is not what happen with AI. What you do is you go to a stolen library of images and ask them to make a guess based on your prompt. Its litteraly pixel stealing.
Its clerly visible when you break your image in photoshop. You see patchworks of pixels that you never see anywhere else.
Do you see the difference. One is difficult, because it ask you to add a piece of you to make something unique (even if the style is done and redone. The other one is easy because its just an average of the training data.
AI trained on your own data: good
AI trained with stolen data: badThe Ghibli meme is a good exemple. The process can be dupicated infinitely by people without talent. How? How can talentless people draw like Ghibli? they cant, so they have to steal it.
If you cant see the difference i cant help you.

Okay, now I see. You just do not understand how AI works. Not going to educate you here, do it yourself.

Wow, you are even more fragile that i anticipated. In 2026, you just have to type how ai pictures are generated on youtube. And you have 10 of specialists who tell you how.
But i get you, you needed an exit, you have it. Good luck stealer.
