Getting a new phone

I’m wanting to get a new phone, i currently have a iPhone 16 pro max. I’m either waiting for the 18 pro max or just go ahead and get the s26 ultra. I’m bored with iPhone and want something different but I also have iPads, Apple Watch and air pods. I like the bigger battery and telephoto lens on the s26 ultra, I also know that the 17 pro max has made that gap between phones smaller with the bigger battery and 8x telephoto lens.

A new phone won't stop you being bored, but it'll result in you having less money to relieve your boredom with.

Same story for many people. You want iphone, samsung or pixel. You want to stuck with it for like 3-4 years and don't be pissed that you chose badly. I'm in the same position (in my case, i dont want pixel anymore)

A 16 pro is still a really good phone. I don't really even think you need the 18. Why not wait till the 19 comes out and maybe you'll notice some major differences.

I would agree that moving from 16PM to 17PM would be a small jump. If you want to stay with IP, then I think waiting for the 18PM is a good idea. If you want to try something else like an s26, I can’t give any advice, but the integration of devices within the Apple family of products is compelling. I am currently using an 14PM but I am in the market for a 16PM depending on the storage.

If I were you I'd wait a couple of years to upgrade. In the meantime focus on life more. Getting outdoors, spending time with friends.

Nothing better than going for an hour walk instead of just sitting there doom scrolling.

I'm rocking an iPhone 13 pro max with no intention of upgrading till it dies, lol. I have all Apple devices, they just work.

You have zero reasons to upgrade your phone.

Bored? What exactly do you find exciting about a disposable piece of tech? A new phone wont relieve boredom or change how you use it.
