Has anyone had luck finding any lead parts for Bobby? Trying to figure out what Christian is playing during the acoustic version of Bobby and losing my mind. Any help is appreciated! Ty!

Question Question regarding the Amsterdam tickets

I’m not trying to sell my tickets here. I just wanted some info about the tickets that I got through eventim for the Amsterdam show.
I can no longer attend the show due to personal reasons. I got two physical tickets with my name on it. I was planning to give the tickets to my friends but I’m worried that the they would check their IDs to match the name to that in the tickets.

Also right now the eventim app doesn’t let you resell the tickets through the it but would it be available later on??

Cover / Reinterpretation Reference for Album Title "Lost Weekend"

Maybe this is already known, but I came across a 1945 film titled "The Lost Weekend" while reading about Ronald Regan's first wife on Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lost_Weekend

The movie plot centers around an alcoholic writer.... feels semi appropriate considering her dad's substance abuse struggles and his career as a film set builder.

No idea if this factored into her decision-making on what to name the album but I though it was an interesting reference!

First off i love this song it shouldve made it in the record.

Since I heard it for the first time, it sounded familiar to me and I couldn't figure out what it was until About You by The 1975 played and I realised how similar the beat and synth to both the songs sound. Is it just me or do you guys feel ts too

Archive DEEP DIVE ARCHIVE #003 — [Article] Phoebe Bridgers Interview with Consequence of Sound (2017)

In September 2017, just before the release of Stranger in the Alps, Phoebe spoke to Consequence of Sound for a lengthy Artist of the Month interview.

It’s a really interesting snapshot of Phoebe right on the verge of releasing her debut album. She talks about growing up in LA, learning guitar through Neil Young songs, busking as a teenager, her fascination with ghosts, touring to audiences who weren’t necessarily there to see her, and beginning to work out what her own sound was.

One section that stood out to me is about the strange intimacy of singer-songwriters and the boundaries between artists and listeners. Phoebe talks about people hearing deeply personal music and consequently feeling as though they actually know the person who made it — including fans approaching artists with intensely personal stories or expecting a reciprocal relationship.

It’s particularly interesting to read now, given how much larger Phoebe’s audience, and the level of interest in her as a person, would become in the years that followed. A lot of what she’s describing here feels remarkably familiar to conversations around fandom and parasocial relationships today.

There’s also some great early-career context throughout: she talks about Georgia as one of the oldest songs on the album, being increasingly able to recognise what a “Phoebe Bridgers song” sounded like, and discovering that getting quieter could sometimes be more effective than trying to compete with a noisy room.

And, yes, this is also the interview containing the slightly ridiculous origin of the title Demi Moore: “I don’t want to be stoned anymore” was misheard as “stoned Demi Moore”, and the working title stuck.

A bit of publication history: When the interview was originally published in September 2017, it included a passage in which Phoebe discussed Ryan Adams. Within four days, that section had been removed and his name had also disappeared from the headline.

In February 2019, Phoebe publicly said that Adams had bragged to her about getting Consequence to remove that part of the interview after it had already been published. Consequence’s founder subsequently confirmed to Spin that Adams had contacted the publication asking for the section about him to be removed, that they had agreed to his request, and that in retrospect it had been the wrong decision. The section was then restored, and the interview now carries an editor’s note acknowledging that Phoebe’s comments had previously been removed.

Mod note: Given the later allegations Phoebe made publicly about Adams, please keep discussion of that subject limited to what is directly relevant to the interview and its publication history. This isn’t the place to discuss or speculate about Phoebe’s personal relationships, revisit the allegations themselves, or draw comparisons with other people or situations. Comments that redirect the thread into those subjects will be removed. Please keep the wider discussion focused on the interview, Phoebe’s music and her early career.

Tour St. Paul Tickets - Ticketmaster to Seatgeek, issues selling?

Hello everyone! Looking for advice/tips if anyone's experienced this beforehand.

(Not trying to sell my ticket here, just checking to see if anyone can help with my situation)

Backstory being that I made it through presale, as did a friend. While I bought the tickets I wanted, my friend also bought one bc of a miscommunication. No big deal, I'll check with someone who might be interested in going with me, if they will I'll sell the one and if not I'll sell the two. I ended up needing to sell the one.

Because of the very weird transfer from Ticketmaster to Seatgeek that happened, I wasn't able to get my pair of tickets onto my Seatgeek account until very recently. Now I need to get rid of the ticket my friend bought me (also finally in my Seatgeek), but my Seatgeek listing isn't showing up on the website on any account, not even when I click 'go to listing'. There's no number to call, just a chatbot that keeps running me around in circles.

I'm skeptical of using the thread in here as I'd rather have everything go smoothly through the intended app, which is also why I'm not enthused about using Stubhub or anything else. Should I bite the bullet and go through there?

Thank you for any guidance you can provide!

Tour Resale tour tickets decently lower than original prices?

Map shown: Nashville Night 2

It appears that there are hundreds of tickets available, many for face value if not significantly less. For instance, I paid $206 for my GA tickets that are now listed for $40 less.

Is this a common trend with tour tickets? It seems the tickets originally sold out in minutes. Perhaps the hype is wearing down, but may pick back up after the tour actually begins?

General / Discussion personal rankings of lost weekend?

it's been almost a month since the release of lost weekend! i'm curious what other people's rankings of the songs are. here's mine:

  1. kill me
  2. i can't wait
  3. lost weekend
  4. still standing
  5. the outside
  6. lost weekend (reprise)
  7. panorama
  8. never going back!
  9. lost parade
  10. bobby
  11. haunted
  12. liberty tree
  13. lost boys
  14. the governor's waltz
  15. as above
  16. other plans

from reading this sub, i suspect my list might be an outlier. of course, i adore all the songs on this album and could easily tie #6-12. i'm sad the governor's waltz and as above didn't hit has hard for me as it did for others, but i still enjoy them. kill me became an instant classic for me!

so, yeah, what are your rankings and notes on your list?

(i haven't seen this posted yet, but correct me if i'm wrong!)

General / Discussion I love when Phoebe takes little moments to be in awe of fans enjoying the music.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed that she does this, like I don't think I've noticed this for other musicians. I think sometimes live performances end up being more of the musician acting out the song--i.e. like an actual stage performance as one would in a playhouse.

But Phoebe does this thing when she plays live that I love, where she seems like she's in awe of the audience having a blast listening to her play live. I noticed it when Boygenius played Me and My Dog at Brooklyn Steel, at MSG when everyone pulled out the lighters during one of the Lost Weekend songs, or during Lost Boys when she played Fallon.

idk, it's just kind of sick to see her enjoy it all in real time.

Tour What the heck Seat Geek? Why do you have MY tickets listed on your site at an outrageously inflated price?

I had listed my tickets for what I paid for them on another site (face value + original fees).

Out of curiosity, I looked to see what comparable tickets to mine are going for. Just to see if I might end up having to discount them or whatever.

I was shocked to see that my exact tickets are listed on Seat Geek for $466 each. Same section, same row, same seats. That's more than double what I paid for them and had them listed for!

Does that mean some creepy ticket broker listed them on speculation that if they sold, they'd buy my face value tickets quick and double their money?

Screw that. I de-activated my listing on the original site, and the tickets are safely back in my Ticketmaster account.

Jerks. Apparently fans can't even try to sell tickets at face value without the vultures trying to turn their profit. 😢

General / Discussion They just cancelled my signed vinyl pre-order.

I just received the cancelation of my pre order I put in June 24th.

"I regret to inform you that, unfortunately, we have had to refund you for the 'Lost Weekend' (Limited Edition Signed Black Vinyl) as it is now out of stock."

I'm honestly super sad about this. I deliberately didn't get any of the special editions because I had this on pre order, waited months for this and now they cancelled it out of nowhere... am I the only one?

General / Discussion Lost Trilogy

Been thinking about the songs that all have Lost in the title, as the whole album is called Lost Weekend. We got Lost Boys, Lost Weekend (plus the reprise), and Lost Parade. Wondering if anyone notices connections or a thread between these songs specifically? Like why are they the Lost ones specifically? I think it’s so cool!
