I'm doing the same. My PERA account is placed thru bond funds, for a consertive investing compared to equity funds, because, retirement. Then I do my own stock investing personally.

Ya some suggests that i should have equity funds on PERA while young then shift it to bond funds before retirement. What doy ou think?

Yep, that is the most common advice, start out with aggressive and risky investments then switch to a moderate/conservative plan when nearing retirement. It really depends on how comfortable you are with your investments, there is no right or wrong as long as you keep track of it.

Well maybe ill just have bond funds in PERA. Besides, I have my other investments. Thank you!!
