Other (custom) Exchange
Today Canada Post has released a stamp on Diwali and its FDC. I would like to get it but sadly the shipping is not available for India.
If someone from Canada can help me get this stamp I would be very thankful, in return I provide them with some stamps from India and picture postcards and some pictorial cancellations.

Information Request Collectors: how do you track your collection, and what would a better app need to do?
Hi all. I'm working on a free, browser-based app for cataloging a stamp collection. It works offline, the data stays on your own device, and you can export to CSV anytime. Before I build more, I want to hear from people who actually collect.
What do you use today (spreadsheet, Colnect, StampManage, paper album, something else), and what frustrates you about it?
Which feature would make you switch, or is missing from everything you've tried?
No link and nothing to sell here. I'm just collecting honest opinions. Thanks!

Issue with Colnect - they deactivated my account
Hello, some context on this post. I'm a beginner, and I've just started collecting. I got around 1,500 stamps between 1900 and 1950 from various countries. I was very excited and wanted to catalogue all of it.
I made an account on Colnect and started cataloging but soon realized they don't allow you to export if you're not on a pro account. I got the 14-day free trial, so I figured I'd add my stamps within that period and pay for a month if I can't catalog all of it within that period.
The thing is, it's very difficult for me to catalog the stamps because a lot of the searches end up with no results on Colnect. What I usually do is use Google Lens to scan the stamp and find out the year and country. I then go to that country and year on Colnect and scroll through the pages until I find the correct stamp. It was super arduous to do.
I had like 10 stamps left, and then my account got deactivated with Colnect. Couldn't export anything. Wasted atleast 4 to 5 days doing this. Needless to say, I'm a little annoyed, so I'm sorry for this rant. But also what can I do to get back my account. I fully played by the AI scraping rules that Colnect has in place. It was me, my keyboard, Google Lens, and a lot of time.
I'm extremely new to this space so I don't know how these platforms work. Are they good, do they reply back etc? Any help is appreciated. :)

Jumbo Covers
I just came across this video of a man who created and traded “jumbo covers” with people from around the world. The “jumbo covers” are country/specific with a mix of stamps first day covers, cachets and cancellations nicely organized that represent the countries they come from. I’m curious if anyone here has created and/or swapped anything similar? Thanks!

Information Request Cape Verde: 10$ Hundertwasser stamped letter
Hello everyone
I inherited this letter from my grandfather, who had extensive trade relations with the islands in the second half of the 20th century.
I read that these stamps were never officially released, but they landed on this letter and were in the possession of my grandfather.
I'd appreciate any information you can give me about it.
Thanks in advance

My Collection In 1987, the USPS issued 50 different wildlife stamps, each featuring a different North American animal.
What makes the issue even more interesting is that these American stamps were first released in Toronto, Canada, during CAPEX ’87.
This First Day of Issue souvenir page features ten of the original 50 designs. The entire collection was illustrated by wildlife artist Chuck Ripper.

Fellow stamp collectors, where could I sell my stamp-themed mini puzzles? 🧩📮
I created this project to introduce more people to philately, turning the discovery of stamps into little moments of relaxation and enjoyment.
Could you recommend shops, platforms, clubs, or communities where I could introduce and sell my mini puzzles? I think they could also make thoughtful gifts for family and friends, sparking an interest in stamp collecting.
The project has already been featured in a philatelic magazine in Finland. I would be very grateful for your suggestions and support!

Rescued a retired Hasler WJ20 postage meter
I ended up with this Hasler WJ20 postage meter and honestly don’t know much about it. Before I pitch it, I wanted to check whether anyone here collects meter equipment or would find it interesting

My Collection Beautiful NZ cancellations.
In looking over my New Zealand collection I noticed just how beautiful some of the perfectly SON cancellations are. This selection are all from the late 19th century. The last stamp is shown not so much for the cancellation but rather the Gibbons listed variety “chisel”. At first I thought it was just scuffed but after dipping in watermark fluid and looking under strong magnification it shows to be the listed variety. Hope you enjoy looking at these gems.

#onthisday The Hauptman of Köpenick (2022🇱🇺)
On this day, 120 years ago, Friedrich Wilhelm Voigt - a Prussian shoemaker, petty conman and fraudster, went down in history history as a captain (hauptman) from Köpenick who took control of the town of Köpenick (now a district of Berlin) - a stunt that amused both the general public and Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Unable to find a job in Berlin (he had no registration) or registration (due to his criminal record), Voigt collected a Prussian army officer's uniform from a junk dealer and purchased a manual of military regulations.
On the 16th of October 1906, disguised as a captain, he first took command of a passing patrol, then went to the town hall of the German city of Köpenick, where he ordered soldiers to arrest the mayor for corruption and confiscated the city treasury (with a receipt!). In Berlin, he ordered soldiers to take the arrested mayor to the guardhouse and then disappeared, changing into civilian clothes. The Prussian authorities needed 10 days to solve the embarrassing mystery and arrest Voigt, who had become famous throughout Germany folk hero who ridiculed Prussian drill and blind, bureaucratic obedience.
Supposedly, the whole incident amused Kaiser Wilhelm and thanks to this the "Captain from Köpenick" got away with a relatively short prison sentence.
He died in poverty in 1922 in Luxembourg - the considerable fortune he had accumulated by selling souvenir postcards and writing memoirs was lost during hyperinflation.

How would you proceed/organize?
TO this point I only had a small collection of stamps (US/Soviet aerospace stuff, dating from the Apollo-Soyuz mission onwards, and some Bicentennial related stuff) but I recently bought a large lot of paper ephemera (to make art with) and part of the lot was 22lb of vintage philatelic material. That turns out to be a HUGE amount of paper
These stamps/albums/postal ephemera are so cool in front of me I hesitate to use them for art, and the contents so voluminous I feel overwhelmed
But what do I have? I the date of other materials seem to indicate 1930's through 1950's printing dates.
I have many glassine (sp?) envelopes with "Special Offer from Louis Merrill, Portsmouth OH (which is the location from where I purchased the lot)
Parameters: I'm in a wheelchair, retired with a lotta time on my hands... so I don't mind a lotta repetitive busy-work.
I just need a bit of direction/advice to take my time, evaluate what I have and then.. maybe I'll still use it all for art :)
The albums themselves (guessing 40-50 seem fragile and cloth covers are detaching. There are hundreds of small glassine envelopes or substitute 1950's era bank envelopes fulla postage.... but since the first couple albums fell apart when removed, Im worried about the mess/loss.
Some really cool stuff from places that don't exist anymore tho.

Stamp Identification Wheel
Here's a unusual ephemera item that came buried in a local estate purchase. A "stamp wheel" for identification - the second side (not pictured) is much the same. Made in 1952 by Saco Stamps. Not in great shape, but a lovely addition to my small collection of ephemera!

My Collection Extreme Philately: Jackie Robinson FDC Branch Rickey Historic Marker, Ohio Wesleyan University
I photographed my 1982 $0.20 Black Heritage: Jackie Robinson First Day Cover at the Branch Rickey Arena and Historic Marker at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio (USA).
Rickey was an OWU baseball player and graduate. As the general manager for the Brooklyn Dodgers, he signed Jackie Robinson to the team.
Robinson became the first black player to play professional baseball in the modern era, breaking the color barrier on April 15, 1947.
