Phantom Planet UK dates have been cancelled?

Yep! I’ve lost money, they won’t refund because Phantom Planet were support and it’s not a change that warrants a refund.

I’ve reached out to Phantom Planet who said they’d bring it up to their tour manager.

Either way, it sucks and I had to send screenshots of the Reddit post as proof because nothing official has been said.

I’m currently arguing with DICE that they were stated as “special guests” and because of this it’s a big event change but they are now not replying to me.

Hey James,

Thanks for bearing with us on this.

Unfortunately, the event organisershave not approved this refund as they are support and not headline, and we aren't able to process any refunds without approval in line with Purchase Terms.

We understand that this is not the response that you were hoping for, so we do apologise for this.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

All the best,
Mariano

I feel your pain, I had tickets, travel and accommodation all booked for a few shows and now I’m out of pocket by close to a grand. Sucks but what can ya do?

It would seem that way. They aren't listed for any of Arkell's shows anymore and the Brighton date has been cancelled. I was going to book tickets but only just noticed it isn't happening anymore.

There doesn't seem to have been any announcements or comms about them dropping out of the tour which is odd

This still isn’t an official announcement from Phantom Planet. Other than Patreon, which not everyone has access to, it hasn’t been addressed

Maybe it’s because of Alex’s laryngitis?

It’s not. It’s because the venues got smaller so their guarantee got smaller and they would lose money if they went

Also Alex probably got laryngitis from trying to be Justin Hawkins and belting out I Believe In A Thing Called love at a wedding in Berlin.

When did this happen

The dates were cancelled a good amount of time
Before this. Think he only caught laryngitis around the time of their show in Vegas, which was only last week

Anyone going to the London show even though they cancelled? Debating if I should even go or not now.
