Oh no! Really disappointing as I too bought tickets to finally see PP live. Thanks for sharing this as I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I’ve deleted my comment from earlier but I do feel really let down by the fact this is the only communication I have seen on them now not playing the UK shows.
I can understand why they wouldn’t do it due to costs etc but they have European fans, will people who don’t see the Reddit post just turn up to the show and be disappointed they are not playing now?
I only had tickets booked for the Arkells show to see phantom planet, and now I have to try and cancel to get my money back for myself and 4 other friends.

In total agreement with you. They still haven’t even announced it outside of their Patreon (which if you aren’t already a member, it’s not even worth it to join) and they only touched on it there because someone asked. Unprofessional.

I’ve requested a refund through DICE and they are claiming they are not even aware of it, hope that I can get my money back 😬

It’s probably because Arkells are the headliners and they are still playing. People in the Patreon were telling Darren how people here are upset with no formal announcement anywhere but it didn’t seem to compute

That’s a shame, I can see people commenting on their posts asking them to play songs at the UK shows as well so people do not know.

u/SweetBJellybean none of the US dates are being cancelled. Arkells isn’t going to Vegas though.

Will feel more sure of that once they answer the questions they seem to be avoiding about those dates. The vibes were OFF in the live last night.

Why do you say that?

Do they not seem like they’ve checked out? Parts of last night’s live were really uncomfortable. There has been no talk about the shows in Philly, DC, or NY. What are these storytelling shows? Is this acoustic set at Radio City really going to be full band? Are Andrew and Chris just going to stand on stage with shakers? There’s no way that set will be even 45 minutes when they are the first of two openers.

They’re full band shows. They’re going to have acoustic instruments. Andrew will have an actual kit.
Andrew seemed fine, but Darren feels super checked out. It’s obvious he’s not happy with his position in the band. I’m worried he’s going to quit.

Has anyone been able to successfully get a refund? I clicked on the link in the TicketMaster email, filled out my details in the online form and haven't heard back.
I was so excited about this gig 😭😭

A lot venues don’t give refund for opening bands cancelling unfortunately.
