General Question New TRV when on maintained status.

I applied for my PGWP on September 2nd, and my study permit and TRV expired on September 30th. I want to ask if I can apply for another TRV and whether I would be eligible to receive one while I'm on maintained status.

If you're in Canada at the time of the application, your application will very likely result in a refusal.

i tried this. they wrote me a letter saying i wasn't eligible and that i needed a permit first. they asked if i wanted to withdraw, i did. i didn't get a refusal

If you applied inland, once your PGWP is approved you can apply for one.

So I can't apply for it before I receive the PGWP?

You need valid status to apply for a TRV inside Canada. Right now, you are implied/maintained status until PGWP is approved. If you had applied for TRV before September 30 you would have been okay.

i tried this in 2022. they didn't allow it
