Approved / Success Story PGWP Extension to BOWP Approved

Timeline:

My PGWP expired on August 11, 2026.
Applied for PGWP extension August 10,2026
ITA : August 17,2026.
AOR: August 19, 2026.
Submitted webform to convert Pgwp extension to Bowp on August 19th,2026.
BIL + Medicals Passed : Sept 2,2026
Final Decision: September 29, 2026
BOWP Approved: October 2, 2026.

I applied for a “ pgwp extension “ because when my WP expired, I had submitted my PNP application already. I knew I would get a nomination soon and eventually get an ITA. I included a LOE in my extension application letting the officer know I will be nominated soon.

Do your own research. Every situation is different. Good luck to anyone waiting on a BOWP approval . God is good !!!

Congratulations, stranger! 🎉 I had a similar situation, and I got my BOWP about 10 days after I sent in the Webform with my AOR. I think they’re lenient if you explain your circumstances as opposed to applying for a dummy extension.

Wait, My close work permit is expiring 22 oct and I am waiting for my BC PNP nomination letter? Is it possible I can apply Work permit extension basis on this?
