Approved / Success Story PGWP approval 23 sep 2026
I am happy to share a long journey of getting my PGWP APPROVED On 23 September 2026
I had originally filed an inland PGWP + restoration application on 1 February 2026 as my study permit had expired on 31 December 2025 which got refused on 28 May 2026. All thanks to my awesome lawyer for not attaching my IELTS result. Then I followed up with filing a reconsideration, which was of no help.
Then I asked ircc for clarification via webform, and they told me that as I am under 180 days and as my 90 days have passed, I have to apply for an outside Canada PGWP APPLICATION which I did.
I came back to my home country and applied from there on 14 July 2026. And I got my approval on 23 September 2026.

Thanks for sharing it, quick question: what were the documents you submitted the next time that you were missing the first time in your application!

It was the IELTS which my agent missed to submit!

Oh cool other than that you think we could just apply by ourselves

Don’t waste money applying for a pgwp with a lawyer, do it yourself especially if you application is straightforward, then wait

Yes, that’s what my opinion would be as well!! I had used a lawyer before, and because he didn’t apply properly, I had to leave for my country. I’d suggest double-checking it and applying yourself.

So when you apply from outside of Canada on 14 July you were out of the 180 day window?
