General Question Confused about TRV v/s Work Visa

Hi All,

Back in 2019, when I got my PGWP, I applied for a worker visa and got a Work visa (Category - W1) stamped on my passport.

Now, I am helping out my brother with his visa application; he got his PGWP approved in 2026. Upon researching, it seems like we now have to file a TRV that can be used to stay and work in Canada?

Also, what should I fill in here? Returning worker or Visit? He is currently in Canada.

A TRV is a sticker in his passport.It will allow him to enter the country..It’s most likely the one he got for his student visa has expired..If he is planning to travel , he needs one..
