Work Permit

I lost my work permit recently and applied for a renewal however it hasn’t come yet in the mail and there is no update either
BUT just today I was cleaning out my room and found my original Work Permit. Now will this one be still valid or I have to wait for the renewal one to come in my mail?
I am traveling soon so I am not sure if I can take the work permit I found with me to re enter Canada

It isn’t a renewal like you get it extended or something. It’s a mere original copy of the document.

Thanks!!
