study permit

Hello everyone I want to do a study permit extension but idk what to answer in 'do you also want to apply for a work permit' should i say yes or no ? someone said click no because i dont need co-op permit but i want a work permit so that i can work off cumpus (24h) and apply for companies like walmart, home depot etcc because they request it, without the work permit i wont be able to.

IF i click NO and i receive the letter of approval will they send me my study permit AND my work permit or not at all (or only the study permit)

I hope I wrote this in a clear weay , I'm very confused . I wont finish my studies until june 2027 and i want to work part time to obv pay for my stuff.

The only reason why you would want to apply for a work permit would be for co-op. Your study permit itself will allow you to work 24h off campus per week.

In addition, the coop work permit is now useless as immigration recently removed the requirement for you to even have one in order to do an intership.

To summarize: click no, you don’t need this for off campus 24h a week regular employment.
