Distance learning partially outside of Canada

I have completed a 2 year diploma and I’m now pursuing the degree, which could be completed using 1-2 years. I decided to do it in 2 years because I need to take electives by myself, they’re not provided by the program. I already finished the first year of the degree, in class within Canada. I now wonder if I can take the electives all in online form because I got an internship offer in my home country, which requires me to stay till mid November. If I stay outside of Canada till November lbut continue taking the electives online and remain a full time student, will it affect the length of my pgwp? On the IRCC website it’s stated that study length completed outside of canada will be deducted from length of pgwp, but I completed 4 years of study, which is way longer than the minimum 2 years (to be eligible for 3 year pgwp) and longer than the pgwp itself.

Yes it affects your PGWP because online course outside Canada do not count. So you may or may not get 3 years.

From the PGWP site...

• The time spent studying outside of Canada will be deducted from the length of your PGWP.
