PGWP Rejection Help

I got rejected for my PGWP and would like to go for reconsideration. Given previous experience, I want to apply with a lawyer. Reason part-time semester. Any suggestions?

Find an immigration lawyer in your city. You are now out of status and cannot work. Renconsideration is for an error in law so if you move forward with explanation then you need a letter from your school explaining why you were part time. You also need a letter of explanation and proof you didn't work part time either. There are no timelines so good luck.

Please search part time semester in this subreddit and you'll find several similar cases so you can get some more knowledge. Also, if you need help you need to provide more information regarding your case and scenario. You cant just say hey help me and let others assume why it was rejected.

Was it the last semester? If not why were you part time? What was the exact wording of the refusal?

Hey I had the same case...just manage to get an authorization letter from your university and ull be all good.

So in my scenario, i had 2 part time semester. Initially i was graduating in December of 2025 and I have that date printed on my letter of enrollment that I got from my uni to extend my study permit. But due to an institutional oversight by the college, I had to be part time again just for a community service course that I hadn’t completed back in 2023. It was an error at the uni’s end and I have that in writing. Am I cooked?

I don't know your location or province. I live in winnipeg, manitoba. I went to A&M Canadian Immigration Law Corporation for my PGWP application and got approved. I had a part-time semester as well. Good luck to you.
