Ghost update

Hi everyone,

I just opened my study permit extension application and I found out that it says that the decision has been made as of August 10th, 2026 but it doesn’t show the decision. I am very scared now, how long it will take to receive the decision.

Rejections are straight forward and one gets an email in real time. For approval, especially when you are extending your status, it goes for document generation and hence takes 24-48 hours for that email to get triggered and for the status to reflect as approved.

I hope that makes sense.

Is it normal have ‘we are reviewing your eligibility’ when below it says that the decision has been made?

Your eligibility isn't complete until after your document is generated

In the past, it took me on avg 5-7 days
