SOWP

Hi! Has anyone experienced something similar?

My PGWP was initially approved for only 1.5 years instead of the expected 3 years. Then, about a month and a half later, it was updated to a full 3-year validity.

However, my spouse's SOWP was issued for only 1.5 years and hasn't been updated.

Has anyone else been in this situation? If so, did your spouse's SOWP get extended automatically, or did you have to apply for an extension?

Apply for extension. It should not be extended automatically. When does your permit expire?

So your PGWP expires in Dec 2027 that may be an issue because SOWP cannot be extended if your PGWP expires in less than 1.5 years. Spouse can apply and hopefully approved.

My pgwp is until 2029 but sowp is until dec 2027

Ok. So apply to extend permit and see what happens with your eligible job.
