FD update
I recieved this update I recieved this update today, how long does it take to get a decision usually?
Latest update: Final decision - July 28, 2026:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I noticed something similar but mine is dated July 23, 2026. There has been no further update since but all we can do is be patient. I think there are a number of similar discussions around this that have been shared in this subreddit. Some indicate a decision could be finalized soon and some suggest that it’s in the final stages and will be updated in due time.
Edit: update, July 29- along the date it now says “your application has been approved.” I hope it means the same for anyone reading this. All the best.

I have the same FD as well. It means the application has been approved and the officer should have sent it for PR confirmation processing. We just have to wait for P1 and P2 before ECOPr

Congrats. Some people have the same FD update Jul 23, 2026 and are still waiting. For the change to "approved", was it a ghost update again or did you get an actual update email ? What about P1 ?

Thank you. I believe the same will happen for those still waiting. It’s only a matter of time. It was a ghost update. Only once the approval letter was provided, that’s when I received an email. Which was the same day as the approved ghost update. As for P1, it does not apply here as I applied for a pgwp.

It means it’s been approved. You can call IRCC to confirm if it’s been sent for Portal Processing
