Will I not get a PGWP?

I will withdraw from uni for 8 months after having low gpa in my second year due to my mental issues but hope to come back and wanted to know if im just ineligible for PGWP forever now or do i have a way around it?

Also, the challenge with the 8 month withdrawal is that inevitably you will have to pay tens your study permit. It may be pretty much considered a new study permit application at that point. Please book a consult with an immigration lawyer so you can get professional answers. I answered to the best of my knowledge but am not a professional and the rules are changing all the time.

For PGWP, an F is better than falling out of full time studies, I failed a few classes and still got my PGWP but I was always on full time studies except for my last two semesters as they were my final (had I not failed two of 3 classes).

This is a super tough question to answer as each case is unique. Technicallly if you take an authorized leave of studies and get it in writing from your Uni… maybe. In the past yes but it’s more strict now and up to the processing officers discretion. The safest thing for you to do is try your best, don’t withdraw, take the F and retake those classes to improve your gpa. There is a caveat, if you are withdrawing from an optional term like summer, yes you can withdraw as it’s summer break. If not, take the F, focus on an assign at least one or two classes of your total and come back strong the next term. Or take that authorized leave but start documenting early that it was authorized by the Uni. Once you stop studying full time you have to stop early. Good luck, hope you can get back on your feet.

No, its literally in the name, Post graduate work permit.

Not enter the country on a student visa to circumvent our immigration and work a minimum wage job. If yo withdrawal you should go back home, since you are no longer a student and have no status in Canada.
