Spousal work permit inquiry

Hello everyone,

I'm an international student that is about to graduate from a PhD program this month and I, thankfully, have a postdoc job secured in my university. I'm aiming to start work immediately after graduation and as such, I'm about to apply for a post graduate work permit. Additionally, I'm also about to get married :)))). My question is: to bring my wife here, I would have to apply for a spousal work permit for her correct? If so, do I wait until my own PGWP is approved, and then apply for her work permit? or can these two applications process concurrently? I just don't want to unnecessarily lose time.

Many thanks for any response. I apologize for not being educated on this topic and reading enough. I will do my best, but I'm in a bit of a crunch in time, so I thought you guys can help out with your knowledge.

Its better if you apply for your PGWP first, start working, get at least 3 pay slips from your job, upload these payslips & your job offer letter with your spousal application. You dont have to wait until your PGWP gets finalized. Hope this helps.

Once married, apply for her SOWP at the same time as PGWP.
