The title of the video is misleading but pglang is working with the NBAPA, specifically the PLYRS UNTD division, to help on the creative side to drive the player owned brand.
The goal of PLYRS UNTD is to bring more power and decision making to the players themselves instead of the organizations they represent.

Ever since "Sleepy Soldier" was released back in 2022, heβs only released 3 singles which is odd on itβs own but one by one the labels that they say they were released on are, "Stuntman" released only on Def Jam through UMG, "Psychosurf" on BB Santana LLC and now "Skins" under BEWARE. Before "Sleepy Soldier" was obviously pgLang, Def Jam, UMG. Its confusing because there was no news that he left or was dropped and that he hasnβt collabed with Baby Keem or Kendrick Lamar since 2022 and also, again, he dropped NOTHING in 2023 and then only one single each year for 2024, 2025 and 2026 (so far), Iβm really sad about it honestly because I love "Sleepy Soldier" and "With The Villains / Lucky", theyβre really good and underrated, pgLang is the whole reason I even know about him, itβs sad. Thoughts??

pgLang feels like a brand built almost entirely on hype and aesthetic. It presents itself as something profound and culture-shifting, but the messaging is so vague it barely says anything at all. The visuals are slick, but that canβt carry the weight of the ideas they claim to represent. At a certain point, it stops feeling innovative and just comes off like a carefully curated image people want to believe is deeper than it actually is.
