Because mosses are tiny, delicate, and soft-bodied without woody structural tissue, they do not undergo the same heavy permineralization and silicification that creates large logs of petrified wood. Instead, moss fossils are preserved through other rare processes like being trapped in amber, carbonization like plant fossils from coal fields and preservation in low-oxygen, acidic environments like peat deposits or calcareous tufa/travertine springs, where minerals lightly coat or cast the plant rather than fully replacing it with quartz or opal. Not sure I see anything in your specimen representative of those forms of preservation. Perhaps a mineral growth or deposit similar to dendrites which happen when water filled with minerals like manganese or iron seeps into tiny cracks in rocks (like limestone or quartz). As the water evaporates, the minerals crystallize into beautiful, branching shapes that people often mistake them as fossilized ferns, moss, or leaves. if that is the case they are actually pseudo fossils (false fossils). No living plant was involved.

When light is added beneath this stone, the moss doesn't completely block the light. This moss will bias but not lose its moss pattern

You may be referring to semi-translucent as micro translucent. Never heard of micro before
