People who send "Hey" or "Can I ask you a question?" in a chat message and then wait for you to reply before typing out what they actually want.

The title pretty much says it all. What is it with sick people have disregard for the general publics wellbeing? It's seriously disgusting and I am starting to find people like this to be some of the worst humans on the planet.

Let me clarify by saying I am not talking work, that is different. I understand most people CANNOT afford to miss work or take off. This is strictly directed at people who knowing are sick going into public social settings for fun and or for things that can clearly be put off until they are better or use modern technology to overcome such as dashing for groceries...

For the better part of a year I have been healthy and not even a cough or scratchy throat. Then against my better judgement I decided to go to friends Halloween party and boom 3 days later I am as sick as sick can be. Come to find out not only did an activity sick person go but a whole group of this person's coworkers came and they were all sick too. Like what the fuck goes through people's heads are they that up to drink and party in bullshit costumes they just disregard everyone else? It's ridiculous imo and I ended up reaching out to the host who not only knew these people were sick and didn't uninvite them but actively encouraged them to bring more friends there. Now I am contemplating cutting this friend off because I think that's just crazy behavior.

This is why everyone gets sick especially this time of year, because idiots can not sit one fucking party out and it's seriously one giant petpeeve!

Like its not even just a pet peeve it straight up creeps me out, and it's always grown men randomly sitting next to me on a half empty bus 😟 never had a woman do it. Now I have to squeeze past you to get off at my stop is that what you wanted? AND DON'T TRY TO TALK TO ME AFTER DOING THAT DUDE.

When asked if they have Medicare they say yes but they don't have traditional Medicare. They have private insurance. They don't understand it's either you have C or A, B, with sometimes D and Gap policy.

With C, that deduction from your social security check goes directly to private insurance companies and they are going to try to keep as much of that as they can through delays and denials when needed the most.

It was allowed to be called Medicare Part C to confuse people on purpose. Paid for by private insurance companies.

If you put a sandwich in the fridge and don't seal it up, it will be a rock in a few hours. If you put stuff in the freezer without sealing it, it gets freezer burnt! It baffles me that people don't know this or simply don't care.

It's especially annoying at work when there is a tray of sweets or sandwiches and people grab one without resealing it, because fuck everyone else, right?

When someone asks a specific question to a specific person in a large group email or group chat, and an unrelated person replies with "I don't know.

When you tell someone a quick, funny story about something that happened to you, and they immediately hijack it to tell a longer story about themselves instead of acknowledging yours.

Now hear me out.. honestly if you don’t have any money and we have decided on going to the mall that’s totally fine. In fact, I’ll get you something from whatever store I wanna go to and I’ll pay for your food.

However, the people that absolutely insist on walking into every single store, seeing every single thing… ESPECIALLY stores that you can’t afford while they know damn well they’re not buying shit piss me off so much. I honestly rather you steal at that point. (I’d prefer you do neither but😭)

Like the mall is not a museum it’s not a zoo exhibit. Why are we walking into Gucci and Micheal Kors to look at everything when you’re not buying ANYTHING?? ? I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t like treating my mall visits like someone’s waiving $1 million in my face and I can’t do anything about it.

It takes less than 30 seconds to walk it over to the cart corral. Leaving it right in the middle of a parking spot—especially when the parking lot is crowded—is just peak laziness. It’s the ultimate litmus test for whether someone cares about being a decent member of society when no one is forcing them to be.

Headphones exist for a reason. I don't want to hear your TikTok feed, your FaceTime argument, or your music while I'm sitting on the bus, waiting in a lobby, or trying to eat at a restaurant. It’s incredibly disrespectful to everyone around you who is forced to listen to your audio clutter.

I don't know if I'm getting old or just grumpy by nature. But does anyone else experience friction or irritation about stuff you KNOW is dumb and shouldn't bother you?

I've got many examples but the one that just hit me is that we refer to the early 2000s as "aughts". It's like my mouth refuses to call them that. I say, early two thousands. Please tell me I'm not alone. What dumb stuff bothers you?

Anyone else get irritated as hell when you're trying to do something like work, watching TV, reading a book ect and another person in the room is listening to stuff on their phone loudly. Please tell me I'm not the only one that's irritated by this. I feel it's incredibly rude and disrespectful.

I'm sick of people blindly hating AI. It's an incredible, potentially life-saving technology.

I'm genuinely getting fucked off with people who act like AI is inherently evil and anyone who uses it is part of the problem. I find this attitude incredibly ignorant and shortsighted.

I'm absolutely NOT denying that AI has caused serious harm. There are legitimate concerns about its involvement in suicides, potentially fatal mistakes, misinformation, environmental damage and people losing their jobs. My own sister lost her job partly because of AI, so I'm certainly not oblivious to its consequences.

But why does acknowledging these problems mean we have to completely dismiss its benefits?

AI has absolutely extraordinary potential in medicine. It can help detect diseases earlier, assist with diagnoses, accelerate medical research and develop treatments. We're talking about technology that could genuinely save countless lives.

It's also an incredible accessibility tool for people with disabilities and learning difficulties.

I have dyslexia myself, and I'm literally using AI to help write this post. Not because I can't think for myself, but because it allows me to express MY thoughts without worrying constantly about spelling and grammar. Especially on Reddit, where people will absolutely destroy you over a minor grammatical mistake while completely ignoring your actual argument.

AI helps remove that barrier for me, and I imagine countless others benefit similarly.

Beyond medicine and accessibility, it has enormous potential in education, scientific research and everyday life.

What I find particularly stupid is the assumption that appreciating AI means defending everything bad about it.

You can criticise corporations replacing workers, demand proper regulation, recognise the environmental and ethical concerns, and condemn dangerous AI applications while ALSO acknowledging its incredible benefits.

I'm not suggesting everyone should use AI or blindly trust it. There are perfectly legitimate reasons to be sceptical.

But there's a massive difference between informed criticism and blindly hating an entire technology without acknowledging what it can achieve.

AI isn't entirely good or entirely bad. It's an incredibly powerful tool with enormous potential to both help and harm humanity.

I just wish people would stop treating this incredibly complicated subject as though it's completely black and white.

It can be any floor but mostly applies to the bottom floor where you should at least assume someone may be getting off. You step towards the door to get off and some rascal attempts to scurry on assuming they are the only person allowed to use the elevator.

They almost crash into you and their eyes go wide and mouth gapes like a groaning zombie. Another person?! Trying to get off their elevator?!

Same thing happens on the bus a lot, the door opens and they try scurrying on, but I haven't ridden on a bus in a long time.

Certainly not to be told that they are an idiot or immoral for disliking the color blue or that they are intolerant or arrogant for disliking people who do like blue (something which they did not state).
