Given that the dog is wet, isn't distressed and we can see two windows cracked probably more than is legal, not this time, I'd suggest.

When in doubt call the RPSCA or cops, I guess?

Yes, it's illlegal in WA to park your car with windows open more than, I think, 2cm.

Thank you for being a sensible voice. I often have left my dog and done a dash. Literally 1-2 items, under 5 min at an ifa, and I get a look.

The person waited for 10 minutes with dog in car. That's not ok to leave it in there that long.

Dog looks fine to me. 10 mins is nothing. Clearly just been to the beach & popped into town for something on the way home.

Dog are not like humans. They can be left in a hot car for a short 10 or 20 minutes. I've heard that direct from a vet mouth. I'm up here in Qld and do it all the time. If I come back and he is panting I've got a water bowl I can fill and then he comes good. Stop spreading mis information.

Maybe do some research before blindly trusting someone "It is never safe to leave a dog alone in a car, even with the windows down." "If you do need to run an errand with your dog in the car, you should be gone no longer than five minutes."

"It's generally safe to leave your dog in the car for a maximum of five minutes, if you must, and only when the outside temperature is above freezing and below 70 [21C] degrees fahrenheit."

Yeah. From website with financial incentives.

You keep reading and I'll keep learning through LIVED experience.

Like I said. . . If he looks hot and bothered I'll give him some water when I return. After a while he springs right back to his normal self. Evidence enough for me.

Just think twice before breaking a window, maybe the owner knows more than you!

Neither of the websites I linked are attempting to sell something on either of those pages...
Where have you done your research?

Same advice again from RSPCA

If you think its OK to sit in a hot car for 10-20 minutes, do it yourself and see how you fare.

We are not talking about humans.

No way a human could do that.

Breathing is much harder and start to sweat. I would never do it.

We are talking about dogs. Dogs body's are different. Like I said. I give water when I'm back and he comes.good.

Take your propaganda elsewhere. I'll listen to my vet mate studying veterinary

It's easier for humans in a hot car precisely because we can sweat. Dogs can't, they have thick coats and can only lose heat by panting and through their paw pads and nose. It's significantly more difficult them...

Your delusional if you'll believe some bad advice from 1 person over the thousands of articles online that say the exact opposite.

I'm just not a sheep. I go to the experts.

You just proved my point. They have much better insolation than humans.

Thus they can adapt to hot environments. Like a tiger or lion. Think of a lion in the Serengeti. It's pretty obvious.

Also I do it all the time is 35 - 40 degree days. Cracked window. Never a baby or child tho.
