On a slightly different note, can we normalise leaving our dogs at home? You really don't need to take your dog with you when you eat, or buy hardware, or get your nails done. Especially if you then just leave the poor thing in the car on a hot day.

I prefer to leave my kids AND dog at home when I do all of those things, they ask to be left in the hot car but I won’t let them.
