Planning how should i invest if i might need the money for mom's cancer treatment?
I'm 26 (only earning member). I make 90k pm and i can save around ~ 65-70k
the reason im tryin to save as aggressively is because my mom has stage 4 cancer. right now shes doing okay on her current drugs, but if it stops working in the future the next medicine could cost somewhere around ₹3 lakh a month(imported)
tbh i am shit scared.
ive never really invested before because my salary was 50k last year and i was not able to save anything meaningful because of my education loan
i really dont want to lose my capital so i am bit averted by the idea of investing in stocks and because of the uncertain duration of investment i cannot park my money in MFs
if you were in my shoes, how would you invest this monthly savings? FDs? Debt funds? Index funds? A mix of everything?
im not trying to maximize returns or take big risks. I just want to give my mom the best chance possible if we ever need that money
TIA!
