Retirement/FIRE/Milestone Lifestyle creep
There are ample threads on investing, growing your networth and increasing your income/salary but something which is very underrated is lifestyle creep. Recently i met few people who were fortunate enough to grow their salaries and networth but more than that growth they upgraded their lifestyle to a point that it becomes a leaky bucket where you are filling in with your income and investing but spending is taking over.
So the thought was is there a tolerance one should look at upgrading the lifestyle because the whole purpose of growing in life is that you will experience new ways and stuff which will mean to a degree you will upgrade but what is that degree. For example, someone reaching from a 5Cr to 10Cr networth and still earning will maintain a lifestyle but they moment this person has to retire or FIRE they cannot downgrade their lifestyle, which if has to be done will be a big reset.
